Our Place Community of Hope provides a ministry of hospitality and presence to people experiencing mental health issues, through a community which seeks to include all people by affirming and empowering them toward personal and communal responsibility. Our Place Community of Hope assists people in recovery in building skills for independent living and accessing other services and supports. Through
its social recreation programs, Our Place continues to supply a safe, stable environment for its membership to meet, connect and build relationships. Our Place Community of Hope offers a wide range of activities that are all designed to provide our participants the opportunity to interact with others – building social skills, tolerance for conflict and a support network of friends. Activities include: movie nights, karaoke, bingo, tournaments, discussion group, yoga, outings, live music, art class, open mic, friday night dance, prayer and bible reflection. Many of our new program members choose to observe first and begin to accept invitations to participate in activities that interest them when they feel more comfortable. Our Place now operates from 2pm to 8:15pm, Tuesday through Saturday. We are located at 1183 Davenport Road in Toronto, ON
(in the lower level of Galilea Korean Presbyterian Church, entrance on Delaware Ave.)
