National Physiotherapy Month — May 2026

This May, Toronto Grace Health Centre is proud to recognize our incredible Physiotherapy team and the vital role they play in helping patients move, recover, and regain independence.

From supporting inpatient rehabilitation, where patients rebuild strength and mobility after illness or injury, to guiding individuals through our outpatient pulmonary rehab clinics, our physiotherapists are there every step of the way. May is Speech-Language Pathology Month

At Toronto Grace Health Centre, our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play a vital role in helping patients communicate, eat, and live safely with confidence.

SLPs assess and treat a wide range of conditions, including speech and voice challenges, language impairment (aphasia), cognitive-communication impairments, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia). Through personalized therapy, innovative tools like augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and close collaboration with care teams, they support patients every step of the way.

From improving communication to ensuring safe swallowing, their work has a direct impact on quality of life.

As Nursing Week 2026 comes to a close, we want to thank all the incredible nurses and nursing students at Toronto Grace Health Centre for their compassion, dedication, and exceptional care.

This week, Team Grace celebrated with special activities across both sites, including Bubble Tea, an Ice Cream Truck, wellness moments, games, and staff appreciation events — all in recognition of the amazing impact our nurses make every day.

We also wrapped up the week with a special virtual keynote session in the boardroom today featuring Dr. Karima Velji, who shared insights on the Provincial Nursing Strategy.
