I have a degree in Nutrition Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. My passion for community well-being led me to study a Public Health course by Yale University, where I learned to analyze global health challenges— particularly non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer and obesity—from a deeper perspective. In today’s world social media throws a lot o

f information (and misinformation) at us, making easy to get confused by trends and influencer opinions rather than real science. To strengthen my critical thinking, I also completed the Science Literacy course by University of Alberta, which refine my ability to distinguish science from pseudoscience. All of this fuels my analytical approach to health and food choices, where I go far beyond calories and I take into account people’s culture, their lifestyle, their environment and the latest nutrition science. I guide people to build long-term, sustainable habits while still enjoying their favourite foods. My philosophy connects nutrition, well-being, and environmental sustainability, offering a realistic and joyful way of eating. As a dietitian my mission is to help people understand their bodies and fall in love with being active. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals all around the world. I’ve supported weight loss journeys of up to 12 kg in just 3 months. I’ve designed diabetes and hypertension meal plans that have Improved insulin sensitivity and lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure within the first month. Recently, I’ve been implementing cutting-edge epigenetic technology to optimize people’s health by modulating gene expression and identifying food sensitivities — because no two bodies are the same. 🌟 I just finished my Epigenetic Reports Interpretation Course… but wait—what does that mean? How does it work? And WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

Here’s why: Short introduction to — the science that puts us in the driver’s seat of our health ⤵️

👉 In 1990, the U.S. government launched the ambitious Human Genome Project, investing $3.4 billion to decode the human genome in 15 years.
👉 In 2000 a draft of the human genome was unveiled.
👉 In 2003 the complete map was published.

Here’s what stunned researchers back then:
Humans have around 24,800 genes, far fewer than plants like rice, which has 50,000 genes. If we’re not genetically “superior,” what truly defines our health and individuality? This is where epigenetics comes in...

🧬 Epigenetics (literally “above genetics”) studies how external factors influence which of our genes are active—and how strongly.

Factors that shape our gene expression include:
✅ Nutrition – what we eat fuels or suppresses certain gene pathways.
✅ Environmental exposures – pollution, chemicals, heavy metals, radiation.
✅ Emotions & stress – chronic stress or trauma can leave lasting epigenetic marks.
✅ Sleep, microbiome, immune health – all crucial players in gene regulation.

Today, we know that up to 98% of our biology is influenced by our EPIGENETIC (external, modifiable factors) while only about 2% is strictly determined by our DNA (internal, static factors).

As a Dietitian, I’m passionate about helping individuals discover how their unique lifestyle, environment, and inner world shape their biology—and how to harness this knowledge for better health. Epigenetics shows us it’s not just our genes that define us, it’s how we live, think, feel, and interact with the world around us.
