Congratulations to Carole, the winner of our Holiday Halfsies 50/50 Raffle! She dropped by Momiji earlier this week to pick up her cheque, presented to her by Dawna, Momiji's volunteer lead of our raffle fundraiser.

Thank you to everyone who supported our holiday raffle by buying tickets and spreading the word! Altogether, the raffle made $3,070, split evenly between Momiji and our lucky winner!

Our next Halfsies 50/50 Raffle will be coming in the Spring, so keep an eye out for more details coming~

Join us for an informative health education workshop on oral hygiene! Oral Hygiene is an important part of overall health. With proper oral hygiene, many seniors are keeping their natural teeth healthy and maintain quality of life. In this workshop, we will learn about useful tips to keep for your teeth healthy at home.

Have you applied to be a vendor at Momo Anime Event yet?

🍱 FOOD VENDOR APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN! 🍱

Previously called Momo Anime Market, Momo Anime Event takes place on Saturday, March 28th from 11am until 5pm and Sunday, March 29th from 12pm to 4pm. The event will be taking place at 3555 Kingston Road in Scarborough.

This will be our third year holding this event! In the words of our volunteer event committee, Momo Anime Event is a "Culture through Pop-Culture" festival that is dedicated to celebrate and share Japanese and Japanese Canadian Culture using anime and manga as a vehicle to connect the community. Throughout the weekend, we will introduce attendees to the Japanese culture, traditions, foods, and history that inspires the medium. Along with the vendor market, we will have interactive workshops, educational panels, and demonstrations.

Any vendor is welcome to apply to attend Momo Anime Event, however a preference will be given to those with fandom/anime/manga products, due to the theme of the event.

Licensed nurses (RPN/RN) provide health advice, wellness tips, and guidance — all in Japanese or English. This service is part of Momiji@Home PLUS, a fee-based program that supports seniors live independently with personalized, culturally sensitive care.

Have you seen Momiji Education's Winter 2026 selection of courses? There is still time to register for plenty of our weekly classes and one-day workshops!

🎨 Interested in developing your creativity? Why not sign up for a painting class—we have a weekly watercolour class, plus multi-day workshops on both acrylic painting and painting stones! Or branch out further with origami, collage, and other crafts!

🎌 We have lots of options for people trying to expand their Japanese language skills! Four different workshops on learning about Katakana and Japanese folktales, and a weekly Japanese Basics class.

🧘‍♀️ For those wanting to keep their body moving this winter, join a class at Momiji and get into good habits! Each class is a little different, so there's something to suit everyone's preferred exercise style.
