📣 Healthy, kid-approved, & one-bowl/ blender! 🥞✨
As a naturopathic doctor and mama of two little wild ones, I’m all about recipes that are nourishing, simple, and actually get eaten 🙃

Here’s our updated pancake recipe that we make on repeat — minimal mess, whole ingredients, and super toddler-friendly! 💛

👇 SAVE THIS for your next breakfast win! 👇

✨ 2 bananas
✨ 2 eggs
✨ ½ cup unsweetened nut mylk
✨ 1 tsp vanilla extract
✨ 1 ½ cups rolled oats (we love 🌾)
✨ 2 tsp baking powder
✨ ½ tsp ground cinnamon

➡️ Toss everything into your blender
➡️ Blend until smooth
➡️ Pour into a heated pan on medium
➡️ Cook 2–4 min each side
➡️ Makes ~8 fluffy pancakes!

No refined sugar. No fuss. Just happy bellies and clean plates. 🥰

Do my kids really need electrolytes? 🤔💧

As a naturopathic doctor and a mama of busy little ones, this is a question I hear a lot—and one I’ve asked myself too!!

Here’s the truth👇

🌿 Most healthy kids don’t need daily electrolyte drinks—especially if they’re eating a balanced diet and staying hydrated with good ol’ water. BUT there are times when adding a little boost makes sense:

✅ After a tummy bug (vomiting/diarrhea)
✅ Long, hot days outside
✅ Intense sports or activities with heavy sweating
✅ When water just isn’t cutting it and they need a nudge to drink more

💡 I like to keep it natural when possible—think coconut water, a pinch of sea salt + a squeeze of citrus in water. Best to steer clear of all those coloured drinks loaded with sugar! 🤓

Always listen to your gut (and your child’s!)—you know them best 💛

My littlest gets hit hard with every that comes his way. So naturally I load him up on all the and 🌿

Another go-to at the onset of the dreaded is a diffuser with essential oils. A few of the top herbs to diffuse 👇

🌿 - known for its -microbial benefits, clears congestion and soothes a cough by loosening mucus in the chest/ throat

🌿 - powerful anti-bacterial / anti- viral, reduces inflammation so you can breathe easier and alleviates persistent coughing

Dealing with this sick boy on/ off this season has been a challenge! He (naturally!) loses his appetite for food when he’s fighting a 🦠 so I’ve started making my own pouches to keep him 💪

Here’s what I’ve been adding to my blender 👇 (I have a that steams and blends for me to make this process more simple)

✨boil up a cup of 3 mixed veggies (carrots, cauliflower, celery, broccoli, squash, peas, etc)
✨add 1/4 cup cooked quinoa
✨add 2-3 tbsp applesauce or 1/2 banana
✨add 2-3 tbsp h**p seeds
✨add 1/4 cup frozen berries

Blend it up and voila! Ready to serve. 👌😋 This way I know he’s getting some good stuff into his body despite his lack of desire to want to eat!

P.S. he’d easily crush 3 of these pouches in a day if I’d let him 😂

A -friendly oatmeal blueberry recipe 🫐

Easy for breakfast, snack or before bed treat 😋

Recipe👇

1 cup large flake oats
1 cup flour
1 tbsp coconut sugar
1/4 cup ground flaxseeds
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

3 mashed bananas
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 egg
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup blueberries

Mix wet ingredients together. Add to dry ingredients, stir to combine. Fold in blueberries. Bake for 18-20mins at 375F. Enjoy! 🙏
