It’s been a hard day.

Remember: you don’t have to carry it all on your own.

If you're able, connect with someone -- text, phone call, face-to-face. It could be just what they need too.

We need each other now, more than ever.

In the heart of Mother Dark

You made your body with light.

You practiced then for how to move now.

You practiced then for how to love now.

You practiced then for how to be in relationships now.

You’ve been doing this since the beginning.

🌈 Proud to offer queer-affirming care.

“We call for the end of the world as we know it.
We call for the end of racism and sexism and bigotry as we know it.
For the end of violence and discrimination and homophobia as we know it.
For the end of sexism as we know it.
We stand for freedom as we have yet to know it, and we will not be denied.”

I'm guessing you have complex feelings about Mother's Day. I do anyway.

Having my own kid has only increased that.

Sometimes it feels heartening, like when I see friends' loving posts honouring their mothers;

And by this point in my life I can feel the appreciation and love for my mum, who did far, far better as a parent than her previous generations.

But often, I feel cynical about the capitalism and irked about the gender norms surrounding it and resent being forced into observing this day;

And then it brings up so many feelings that want to be witnessed and cared for on this day when you're expected to only feel the good stuff about your mother.

So I'm appreciating this list of questions from Esther Perel that my sister sent me.

And offering a hand squeeze to you if this is an iffy day for you.

How do you feel about Mother's Day?

Want to experience repeated felt safety so your body-brain can begin to shift toward feeling better?

✨ This Spring (May/June) I'm launching low-cost group sessions! ✨
Use this link to get on the waitlist for more info: https://tinyurl.com/4z5j2t65

It'll be a small group of people meeting weekly on Zoom to co-regulate and receive nervous system support. Minimal cost to make it accessible ($15 per session).

⭐ Why am I doing this?
Those who've come to the free stress-relief sessions have given such positive feedback that I felt if they could get regular support, even better things could happen.

1:1 sessions are not in everyone's budget, and I want to make these benefits accessible at a low cost to more people.
