Autism Acceptance is important for several reasons. It represents a shift in perspective from focusing on "awareness" to embracing and understanding the diversity of individuals on the autism spectrum.

For many families this week is the start to March Break.

March Break camp is exciting, but transitions can be tough for kids! Help them feel prepared with these simple tips:

➡️ Pack Comfort Items – A favourite stuffy or note from home can bring reassurance.
➡️ Practice Independence – Encourage small tasks like packing their bag.
➡️ Validate Feelings – Excitement and nervousness can go hand in hand!
➡️ Keep Them on a Schedule – Stick to a consistent routine before and after camp to create stability - sometimes similar to before and after school.
➡️ Talk about what to expect to get them excited and remind them of a time you will be returning
➡️ Visit the camp or look at photos online
