Already three Sundays ago, on January 18, I hosted “It’s Never Too Late: A Vision Board Party”, and it was the very first event for Nubian Divinity🥹. This was truly an unforgettable milestone and a great way to start the year.

As I’ve mentioned countless times, vision boards have been a huge part of my wellness journey since 2018. They’ve helped me visualize, ground myself, and gently plan what I want my year (and my life) to feel like. They’re not solely representative of what I want to achieve that year.

Getting to share this intimate and special practice in community felt really special. We built, dreamed, reflected, laughed, and shared our goals in a space that felt supportive and intentional. There’s something so powerful about slowing down together and naming what we’re calling in without any pressure, timelines, or having it all figured out.

I’m so grateful to everyone who showed up with openness and care. This was such a beautiful beginning, and it affirmed how important community, reflection, and collective dreaming are to the work I do.
More to come, but in the meantime, I’m holding a lot of gratitude. 💛

2016 me.
Apparently I didn’t take many photos back then (wild), but I did love a good meme, some things truly never change. I’ve included some of the good ones in this carousel (most are still quite relevant).

Freshly 23. Fresh face. A few (many 😅) pounds lighter. Newly moved to Toronto with big dreams of becoming an on-air personality. Working an entry-level job at Corus, paying rent I could barely afford, living in a bachelor apartment in Liberty Village, and feeling more free, hopeful, and untouchable than I ever had before. No one could tell me anything.

Toronto was the city I’d dreamed of since I was a teen, and my intuition led me here, away from Ottawa, into uncertainty, independence, and possibility. That version of me had no idea that the decisions she was making would eventually lead her to pick up a divination deck… and later build Nubian Divinity… and become the version of me you see today.

I don’t usually hop on trends, but this one gave me a pause I didn’t know I needed. Looking back at the dreams I carried then, and realizing how proud she’d be of who I am now.

Time, please slow down, but I’m hopeful to meet who I’ll be in 2036 ✨

Vision boarding has been a staple in my life since 2018. This practice has helped me clarify, dream, release, and realign time and time again. It’s something I return to whenever I need grounding, inspiration, or a reminder of what I’m moving toward… and often, how far you’ve come!

I named this gathering It’s Never Too Late because I’m still working on my own vision board too. Vision boarding is about pausing, checking in, and giving yourself permission to dream wherever you are in your year. I’m not late and neither are you!
