SUDEP Aware is a charity that works tirelessly to raise awareness and understanding of Sudden Unexpected Death in ( ) to help reduce death due to epilepsy. It was founded in 2008, after Exec Dir Tamzin Jeffs lost her sister, Olivia Mullin, to SUDEP.

Dr. Itay Tokatly Latzer, an Epileptologist at Boston Childrenโ€™s Hospital, and his team are conducting a qualitative research study looking at the experience of parents who have lost children to SUDEP through 30-60 min long interviews. The study aims to gain novel insights into the lives of parents who have lost a child to SUDEP and provide information on beneficial coping strategies and support systems to others. The study also looks to raise awareness of SUDEP and advocate for establishing additional guidelines around SUDEP. Harvard Medical School
