Matcha Berry Smoothie 🫐🍌🫚

This glowing "Matcha Berry Smoothie" is made with antiinflammatory green tea powder, fresh gingerroot, blueberries, and all natural plant based ingredients.
It is dairy free, with no artificial colors
It is important to consume nutrient dense foods to decrease inflammation, balance hormones, give you clear skin, enhance energy levels and just make you feel good, life feels good and you have more energy to do the things you L💜VE.

Matcha Berry Smoothie 🥤🍵
✅️/2 frozen banana
✅️ 1 cup of frozen blueberries
✅️ 1/4 cup pomegranate
✅️ 1 thumb size of fresh gingerroot
✅️1/2 tsp of Green Tea Matcha powder
✅️1/4 tsp of ceylon organic cinnamon
✅️1 tsp.chia seeds
✅️1 tbsp h**p seeds
✅️1 cup coconut milk
✅️1 tsp collagen powder

🥤Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together, blend for 2-3 minutes or until everything is evenly mixed.
Pour in a glass & enjoy 😁🥤

Happy Recipe Saturday 🍅🥒

I love summer because there are so many varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables available.

Did you know that what we eat can influence our vibration?

Eating whole unprocessed foods in a variety of colors can raise our vibration.💫🔥✨️⬆️

Eating foods that are processed can lower our vibration💀☠️⬇️

Choose wisely.

Here is one of my favorite simple salads to make.

Chopped Cucumber Tomato Salad🍅🍅🍅🥒🥒🥒

Ingredients:

2 cups cucumber, diced

2 cups ripe tomatoes, diced

1/2 red onion, finely chopped

1–2 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

1–2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon or 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Salt & black pepper to taste

Optional Add-ins:

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 red, yellow or orange sweet bell pepper, diced

Crumbled goat or sheep feta cheese

Chopped mint or dill

How are all my Heal THY Selfer's doing?
Visiting Farmers markets, it's a passion of mine. It goes hand in hand with road tripping and getting to see many areas in Ontario.
I love connecting with local Ontario farmers and supporting them.
We know that eating local, in season fresh vegetables and fruits are super important for our whole body health.
I wanted to share with you my gorgeous organic, local field cucumbers.
Lately, I have been eating a lot of cucumbers, and I especially love adding them to my plate for breakfast.

💁Cucumbers are delightfully refreshing and are a good way to stay hydrated.

7 Foods To Reduce Inflammation ⬇️

🔥Berries: Including blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries. These little gems are packed with antioxidants that help combat inflammation and support overall wellbeing.

🔥Leafy greens: Load up on spinach, kale, swiss chard, and other leafy greens. They are rich in vitamins and minerals and phytochemicals that possess the antiinflammatory properties.

🔥Fattyfish: Fattyfish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines are brimming with omega-3 fatty acids known for their antiinflammatory effects

🔥Turmeric: Turmeric is known for its potent antiinflammatory compound called curcumin. Add a dash to curries, soups, stir fries, smoothies, or warm golden milk before bedtime.

🔥Nuts: Snack on walnuts, almonds, and other nuts to harness their antiinflammatory properties. Packed with healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants.

🔥Sweet Potatoes: Their rich beta carotene helps to combat inflammation. You can roast them, make them into a rich nourishing soup, add them into a salad, or eat a baked potato and add your favorite toppings.

🔥 Green tea: The catechins ( antioxidants) are known for their antiinflammatory properties, sipping on a cup of green tea to hydrate and reduce inflammation.

Happy Smoothie Tuesday❤🍑
Im back from a beautiful long weekend , it was our civic long weekend here in Canada.
I will be posting a snap shot of my weekend soon.
I definitely took full advantage of the wonderful weather because our summers are short.

Ginger Peach Smoothie⬇️❤🍑
What could possibly taste better right now than fresh peaches? They have such a delicious flavour it feels almost decadent to eat them, I have blended up peaches with the smooth taste of coconut milk, banana, and the zest of disease-fighting ginger.

Ingredients:

2 peaches, pitted and cubed
1 banana peeled, & frozen overnight
3/4 cup oat milk
1 tbsp of raw agave
2-inch k**b of raw ginger

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients together & enjoy ! 🍑❣

LOCAL Ontario peaches😀🍑

I recently went on a road trip hunting for local peaches ( 🙄 ya I know, they are in stores, but something about supporting farmers markets🥰) we stumbled across a beautiful little market and I overdosed on peaches, atleast I think I did, is that even possible?🤭🤔
The Niagara Falls Peach festival is next weekend. If you don't have any plans, then I suggest you go check it out.

It was wonderful catching up with Christine MacFadyen and her fiancé Brent, who traveled all the way from P.E.I .

Christine has vasculitis and is in Toronto for her medical appointment with the Vasculitis clinic.

The Vasculitis Foundation Canada is more than a patient organization. We are family.
