How can breast enhancement procedures be customized?
This patient came to Dr. Plant wanting a rounder, more lifted look without adding volume. She was already a DD and didn’t want her breasts to be any larger but she wanted a distinctly ""augmented"" look that simply cannot be achieved without implants. Enter....one of the most custom procedures in breast surgery: the Reductive-Augmentation. This oxymoronically named case is a combination of a reduction (a.k.a making the breasts smaller) with an augmentation (a.k.a. making the breasts bigger) as well as a lift. Under most circumstances it would clearly make no sense to make something smaller and bigger at the exact same time, however in THIS specific circumstance that's exactly what needs to be done. To get the shape the patient wants, an implant is absolutely necessary, however an implant makes the breast larger and the patient wants to remain about the same size, so we can't just put an implant in without removing some volume from the breast tissue first
In this case, Dr. Plant removed 180g from her right breast and 211g from her left before placing 335g full-profile silicone gel ""Gummy Bear"" implants in a subglandular pocket allowing for a more structured, augmented shape without increasing her overall size.
He completed the procedure with a vertical mastopexy (lollipop lift) to elevate the breasts and ni***es, correct asymmetry, and give the final result of a tighter, perkier, and more proportionate appearance.
