šŸ³ļøā€āš§ļø International Transgender Day of Visibility: Today we mark International Transgender Day of Visibility, a day to celebrate transgender people and recognize their contributions. It's also a chance to raise awareness about the challenges and discrimination that many transgender people still face. Today is International Women’s Day. This year’s theme, Give to Gain, highlights the importance of taking meaningful steps to advance gender equality.
When we give, we gain. By sharing knowledge, time, mentorship, and support, we help create more opportunities for women to thrive — and when women thrive, we all rise.

We value the leadership and contributions of women across Ontario’s healthcare system — including audiologists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, administrators, educators, and volunteers. šŸ’œ

šŸ‘‚Today is World Hearing Day, led by the World Health Organization (WHO). This year’s message is ā€œFrom communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children.ā€

Millions of children worldwide live with undiagnosed hearing loss — often caused by common, treatable conditions like ear infections or impacted ear wax. Left unaddressed, it can affect speech, learning, and social development.

Early identification, proper assessment, and hearing technology support when needed can make a lifelong difference. Did you know Pink Shirt Day began in Nova Scotia in 2007? What started as a simple act of support, when high school students stepped in after a peer was bullied for wearing a pink shirt, quickly grew into a powerful movement. The next day, they bought and handed out pink shirts to stand up against bullying together.

Today, Pink Shirt Day is recognized across Canada and around the world to promote kindness, inclusion, and respect. This year’s theme focuses on lifting each other up and ā€œsprinkling kindnessā€ wherever we go.

Wear pink, share this message, and help make every day a day to stand against bullying! šŸ’ŖšŸ©·
