Voted Top Plastic Surgery Clinic in Toronto by TOP Choice Awards 8 years running.
VISAGE ; a French word that has been in the English literature at least since the 1700s. Although today it refers more precisely to “face”, this term also been used in a broader sense to refer to the overall appearance or aspect of a person or an object. Dr DuPéré, specializing in all aesthetic parts of the face and body, chose this name because it refers to the entire “persona” of a person. Also, in the word VISAGE, one also finds the world “vie” for “life” and “age” for our commitment to anti-aging. Being French-Canadian and French-trained, VISAGE was easily chosen to become the name of our aesthetic Embassy de la Beauté, in Toronto.
In Canada, most clients want to look natural, but a younger-looking self. Yesterday, only women were having cosmetic surgery and with the upmost discretion. Today it has become acceptable for not only women, but for men as well. Being an artist himself, with his international training and his belonging to the Canadian, American, French and International Societies of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. DuPéré brings his artistic eye to his busy practice on the magnificent tree-lined Hazelton Avenue, in Yorkville, Toronto.
Dr. Marc DuPéré and the administrative, nursing and aesthetic staff of Visage Clinic are committed to ensuring you enjoy a smooth, safe, stress-free experience throughout your ongoing relationship with them, in a sophisticated state-of-the-art MedSpa and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery centre in the heart of Toronto. Our motto: Safety, Excellence and Sophistication.

Amenities
There is no doubt that seeking the right plastic surgeon for your aesthetic needs is crucial, ensuring he or she has the experience and credentials for your upcoming procedures. Those are the exact reasons Dr DuPéré left for Paris, Los Angeles, New York City, and Brazil a few years ago to perfect and widen his techniques in aesthetic plastic surgery for the benefit of his Toronto and Canadian patients. This is also why he attends several aesthetic meetings every year — for the maintenance and improvement of skills, for new knowledge, and certifications.
That being said, one often-omitted and crucial component patients forget to consider is surgical safety. Where you will have your surgery is as important as who does your surgery. An excellent plastic surgeon is likely to operate in a safe operating room, which means one that has been accredited by the Ontario’s only recognized certifying agency (CPSO) for Out-of-Hospital (OHP).
Each year, new requirements are established by the College and our Visage Clinic surgical centre, being the newest in Toronto, is proudly the most up-to-date surgical facility.
We were fortunate to find our new “home” on Hazelton Avenue pre-construction, as it allowed us plenty of time to plan the building, the flow of the clinic, and its amenities. It also allowed us to get the proper engineering expertise to ensure maximal surgical and anesthesia safety. For example, our 3-year project allowed us to plan for a robust all-inclusive clinic and surgical centre generator, connected to the limitless city supplies of natural gas, allowing the clinic — and the surgeries — to continue without stress or interruption should there be a power failure. We went above the requirements for a few hours of battery backup.
Having 19 years of experience and likely another 25 years in practice, Dr DuPéré also decided to invest long-term in quality and safety. We purchased all new medical equipment: latest anesthesia machine, OR lights and beds, electrocautery machine, leg compression devices, a sterilizing machine, and so on. We truly believe our patients will find comfort and reassurance in knowing that their anesthesia machine is new and not a 30-year-old refurbished antique.
We also decided to equip our facility with 2 accredited overnight rooms to maximize our patients’ safety and recovery. Patients truly appreciate staying overnight with our 2 nurses, who can tend to their immediate postoperative needs, alleviating stress for their loved ones. Adding video monitoring and Netflix programming in the overnight rooms will positively enhance our patients’ journey and safety at Visage Clinic.
We also decided to have a second waiting room, on the same floor as the surgical centre, to allow some quiet time for our patients waiting for their surgery and their families, away from the hustle and bustle of the consultation space and medical spa area downstairs.
The clinic has 4 dedicated HVAC systems, allowing the highest control of air quality and maximizing comfort in the various “zones” of the clinic.
It should also be mentioned that Visage Clinic MD has a private and discreet exit where patients are taken to their car postoperatively to underground parking, perfectly incognito. Everyone is entitled to his or her own privacy.
Finally, Visage also has its own elevator for convenience but also for privacy. We have our concierge service 24/7, and the entire premise is under video surveillance. Did we also mention the complimentary valet parking we offer?
MedSpa, Skin Lab and Laser
In 2019, VISAGE acquired an additional - and adjacent - space on Hazelton and the Toronto Beauty Embassy was born, adding 2000 square-feet of space dedicated to beauty: a skin lab, a state-of-the-art laser facility and the newest in non-surgical fat reduction and laser vaginal rejuvenation, all under one roof.
Consultation
Consultations are with Dr. DuPéré himself and can last from 30-60 minutes, on average, when Dr. D. will go over the history and physical examination and then will go over options, risks, complications and alternative treatments. Enough time is allowed to answer questions. Partners or BFF (best friend forever) are welcomed into the consultation process too. Part of the consultation process, which often comprises of 2 visits, includes a visit of our surgical centre, if interested, and pre-operative pictures in our dedicated professional photo room.
Dr DuPéré also performs the injections of Botox, PRP and fillers at our 2 Clinics for an artistic and safe 3-D restoration of one’s face.
Dr DuPéré’s education was built on “the Shoulders of Giants”.
Dr. DuPéré was trained in Montréal at the prestigious McGill University Faculty of Medicine from 1991 to 1996. There he was mentored by Dr. Bruce Williams, a Canadian and North American pioneer in plastic surgery and a key figure in Dr. DuPéré's choice of vocation and profession. He then attended the world-renowned University of Toronto, where he completed his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery.
During his training, Dr. DuPéré won multiple awards, including the prized Wood Gold Medal at McGill, and the F.M. Woolhouse Clinical Research Award, the A.W. Harrison Resident Teaching Award, and the Best Clinical Paper Award, all at the University of Toronto.
In 2002, he pursued further training in cosmetic plastic surgery in Paris, France. During this fellowship, he had the opportunity to work with internationally recognized plastic surgeons such as: Dr. Daniel Marchac, specializing in facial plastic surgery; Dr. Gilbert Aiach, a nasal plastic surgeon and president at that time of the French Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery; and Dr. Natalie Bricout and Dr. Sylvain Pétouin, both with strong interests in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery.
Dr. DuPéré has since spent time learning the refinements of facial rejuvenation from Dr. Bruce Connell, a prominent facelift plastic surgeon in Los Angeles. Dr. DuPéré also counts as one of his mentors Dr. Patricia Wexler, a prominent dermatologist in New York City who is an expert in dermal injections, skin care, and fat grafting.
Recovery
Recovery after surgery is an important part of the entire rejuvenation experience. The team at VISAGE clinic believes in delicate attention and pampering for its recovering patients. Soft music is provided, along with attentive nursing care. One nurse is fully dedicated to recovering patient(s).
DuPéré sees every patient prior to them leaving the premises. Each patient is then called the following day by, our office team, to assure that he or she is recovering well. If patient stays overnight, Dr. DuPéré discharges then in the morning.
Regular visits to one of our various locations is then organized, until healing has occurred, and private photographic follow-up is done as needed.
VISAGE and its wonderful team welcomes you...
