Why I Opened My ComForCare Location
My father’s favourite caregivers were those who were great cooks and could whip up tasty meals for him. And, for my aunt and uncle, specialized dementia programs played a large role in improving their quality of life. I could see firsthand the impact high quality care can have on a person’s life and happiness. I think that’s important to both our clients and their families.
Because of that, I am all about quality of care. I know that makes such a difference to get the right caregiver placed with the client. Understanding the social history of the client helps give us the ability to match caregivers and clients with similar experiences, personalities and backgrounds. We’re very careful about who we hire and pay a lot of attention to the kind of skills they have, how they think and their reasons for joining our team.
At the end of the day, we have an opportunity to see folks who are happy in their own home and have the ability to thrive.
