Bianca recently visited our friends over .kingsway for an appointment with .minolipeiris.

She has been dealing with some hip pain and wanted to get it checked out. Dr. Minoli was wonderful — she assessed everything, did a few adjustments, and shared what Bianca should do moving forward.

Do you deal with thick toenails?

You’re definitely not the only one, it happens a lot, especially with age!

Sometimes it’s caused by past injuries, sometimes by circulation issues, and when the nail gets really thick, it can be hard to trim on your own.

That’s where a Chiropodist can help! We have the right tools to safely thin and trim nails, and can guide you on how to manage them long-term.

If thick toenails are something you struggle with, call or DM us — we’re here to help. 👣

What is the best everyday foot care routine? 👣
Here is a simple step-by-step routine you can follow:
1. Clip your toenails.
2. Wash your feet.
3. Dry your feet thoroughly.
4. Exfoliate once a week.
5. Moisturize every day with a foot cream that contains urea.
6. Repeat!

A good routine can help prevent common issues like calluses, cracked heels, and dry skin. Small steps make a big difference when you do them consistently.

Dealing with neck pain? Here are 3 simple stretches you can try:

• Chin tucks – Sit or stand tall and gently draw your chin straight back, creating a “double chin.” Hold for a few seconds and release.
• Shoulder shrugs – Lift your shoulders toward your ears, hold for a few seconds, then slowly lower them. Repeat 5 times.
• Neck rotations – Turn your head side to side, holding each direction for 5 seconds.

Simple, gentle movements like these can help loosen a stiff neck.

Did you know toenail fungus becomes more common as you get older? Hey Foot Fam, let’s talk about why. 👣

Slower nail growth, reduced circulation, and a weaker immune system all make it easier for fungus to develop. Thick or cracked nails can also give fungus a place to grow.

Keep your feet clean, dry, and check them regularly. If something looks unusual, see a Chiropodist.

Have you have tried everything and your foot pain still is not going away?

Here are three possible reasons why:

• You may have a biomechanical issue such as flat feet, high arches, or overpronation.
• Your shoes might not match your foot type or gait pattern.
• You may need a proper assessment to find the real cause of your pain and treat it.

Notice the white patch on this toenail?

That’s the nail lifting from the nail bed — a condition called onycholysis.

It can happen for a few reasons like trauma or fungal infections, but in this patient’s case, it’s likely from a past surgery to remove a malignant melanoma. Scar tissue on the nail bed can prevent the nail from fully reattaching, which leaves that white area behind.

If you’ve spotted something similar on your own nails, it’s worth getting checked out.
