Most people think that chiropractors just "crack" backs and necks. What many people may not know is that chiropractors are an integral part of the health care system. We treat many common injuries naturally, without the use of medication. Chiropractors can efficiently assess and treat injuries such as muscle strains or ligament sprains, rotator cuff injuries, neck strains, nerve entrapments, back
strains, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis/golfers elbow, etc. As chiropractors, we can manipulate the spine to help decrease pain, increase range of motion and decrease muscle tension. I am full body certified in Active Release Technique (A.R.T) and a Registered Acupuncturist. With these techniques and an active rehabilitation program, most physical injuries can be successfully treated. I specialize in treating dance and athletic injuries but have been working in general practice for the past 8 years. When you visit Ossington Chiropractic for the first time, I will provide you with a thorough and comprehensive assessment, taking the time to clearly understand your individual needs and goals. I will then educate you about what is happening with your body, explain the course of treatment that you will need, and answer any questions you may have. For more information about my scope of practice, please go to www.ossingtonchiro.ca
I look forward to helping you lead a healthier, more active, and pain free life. Dr. Glenn

Believe it or not, the way you breathe can be directly related to back pain.
Assessing how people breathe in different body positions can help to determine how they stabilize their spine and core. This information can be used to mitigate injuries, decrease pain, and optimize performance.
Do you arch your lower back when you’re trying to sit up with “straight” posture? If so, you likely are not stabilizing your spine/core or breathing correctly, let us help you find a better way. 👍🏽

The trapezius muscles (specifically the upper traps) are instinctively used to protect our necks from physical and emotional stress, through shrugging. Overuse of these important muscles often results in stiffness, pain, and tightness.
Have you ever caught yourself shrugging your shoulders up when it’s cold outside and you don’t have a scarf on?
We can help you identify the cause of your neck and shoulder pain and provide relief through treatment.
Improve circulation, decrease swelling, recover faster and enjoy a few minutes of pure rest and relaxation. We now have the Normatec .recovery boots available for you. Speak to your practitioner about trying them out.
When you put your trust in our hands, you give us the chance to be a part of your journey.

If the word Acupuncture makes you nervous, don’t worry, we have many tools in our toolbox to speed up healing, activate muscles and decrease pain. One example is using electrodes to create a pulse and promote blood flow.
Lower back pain or tightness is something we see regularly in our practice. It can be simple or very complicated.
It may be easily resolved with some soft tissue release, an adjustment and/or a few strengthening exercises or stretches OR it may take ongoing treatments and an extensive rehab plan.
Back pain can be scary and debilitating. Part of our job is to determine the 3 W’s - Where? Why? When?
WHERE is the pain coming from?
WHY do you have this pain?
WHEN and how will it be resolved?
We don’t always have the answers right away but we will do everything we can to find them and support you every step of the way.

Ossington Chiropractic and Rehabilitation (OCR) officially opened it's doors in April, 2014. We started out as a home-clinic with just one chiropractor and one receptionist, and after just one year, we grew out of our space and moved into 145 Ossington Ave.
Our mission is to humbly serve the Ossington community and beyond, with care and compassion.
Our vision is to empower individuals to take control of their health by gaining a better understanding of their bodies and having access to quality healthcare.
When you visit Ossington Chiropractic and Rehabilitation (OCR) for the first time, the chiropractor, physiotherapist, or naturopathic doctor will provide you with a thorough and comprehensive assessment, taking the time to clearly understand your individual needs and goals. He/she will then educate you about what is happening with your body, explain the course of treatment that you will need, and answer any questions you may have.
Feel free to call or e-mail us if you have questions about our practitioners' scope of practice or to determine which practitioner would be best suited to take care of your needs/concerns. We are always happy to answer your questions. Meet Dr. Glenn Paul Uy - Co-Owner of OCR
