Hello friends!

Please help me find this lovely gal a home. She is 10 weeks old. She was purchased by a friend to be a service dog for their daughter who has cancer. Unfortunately they were mislead on her lineage and size and now they have her and want to find a proper fit home.

Cosette dob May 11, 2024 Father: purebred black English Lab estimate 90 lbs Mother: purebred chocolate Newfoundland estimate 140lbs. Cosette takes after her Father in looks so far but has Newfie traits such as bigger webbed paws.

Training to date:
*Can use p*e pads in house. Uses designated areas in fenced yard for p*e/poops.
*Crate trained to sleep at night.
*Crate is open all day for a safe place
*We use Bitter Apple to slow chewing on humans or forbidden areas (table legs)
*Use swap for a toy for chewing weird things as a pup it is a constant surprise;
*Knows her name; “Come” ; “sit”; back, wait.
*This week is working on “down” command.
* She LOVES water
*She is SUPER SMART AND ENGAGED

YOU: a dog is part of the family not a household accessory. Will get pet insurance (always recommended with gaint breeds); have time to spend with her daily (no full time work pep's); current owner will pay for spay when the time comes. DVM recommend because of being part giant breed to have a gastroplexy when spayed to prevent twist stomach/intestines in future. You have disposable income to ensure her proper nutrition and medical care in future. You have experience with Labs (you get the shinnanigans they pull the first 2 years and know how to manage) and gaint breeds. Tada!! You have the opportunity to love this pupparoo!

Contact me and I will put you in touch of her temporary humans🐕🥰

Mamie ❤️

The phoenix is a mythical golden bird associated with renewal and regeneration. Rising from the ashes of its previous life, the phoenix is a symbol of hope, of life and of better things to come, born from the knowledge and experience of difficult times and challenging circumstances. In order to rise from its own ashes, a Phoenix must first burn.

Saved at auction, she was said to be a 40 year old Navajo reservation horse. We drove 4 hours to that auction after seeing her photos posted beforehand. The weather that night was freezing cold and storming. After trying to haul Mamie to a local foster that night after auction, and being unable to get to their barn due to the weather, we had to make the decision to bring her and the others saved that night all the way back to the rescue. We prayed the entire way there that she would survive the trip. And she did. We knew then, she was tougher than anyone we had dealt with before. In the weeks, and months to come Mamie would show us just how tough she really was. She overcame pneumonia, starvation, dehydration on her own terms. She wouldn’t stay at the barn and insisted on living under a cedar tree that ironically my grandparents used to sit under in a swing years before. She had to be lifted with a tractor once and bit it once she was standing. Her molars grew in the wrong direction her entire life, changing the shape of her face and making it painful to eat. They were so severe she had to have her dental work done in stages. During all of this, she provided immense joy and pride in watching her rise again. A force of nature this one, and we are privileged to be her caregivers.
