My practice practice is inclusive and diverse, consisting of clients who seek help with such difficult life experiences as; trauma, stress, grief, separation, family problems, depression and anxiety. In therapy we work towards understanding issues and through this process learn how we arrived in our current mind frame in the first place. I specialize in trauma, loss, grief and attachment with children, adolescents and adults and use a number of approaches which are tailored to meet your individual needs. Some of the techniques I use include art therapy, mindfulness training, and psychodynamic therapy. I use a respectful, flexible and non-judgmental approach to counselling, based on the belief my clients have untapped strengths and resilience. If you would like to work with a non-judgmental and caring therapist, I encourage you to take the first step and contact me. Counselling can help you (or your child) become more self-aware and understand the reasons why you behave and react in the way you do. It helps to find the real you. In therapy your strengths and resilience are honoured. You will be listened to, respected, and supported without judgement. You may come to understand coping strategies you’ve used to manage pain and difficult emotions and decide to explore new and healthier ways to manage challenges you face in everyday life. This will help you to move forward from painful or frustrating life experiences. The next step is taking on the work and making a commitment once you have chosen to make an investment in yourself.
