Come back to the pen in your hands

The smell of your tea

The warmth of the cat on your lap

And the presence and voices of people who make you feel loved and understood.

These comforts are true at the same time as your fears,

and being with the sensations of the present moment

helps let go of what you cannot control.

Not because Iโ€™m not processing my fear, or that Iโ€™m oblivious

But because

Women healing their trauma and coming into their power

IS being the change

that creates the vision, certainty, love, and transformative alchemical connection and goodness into the world.

Your work matters.

The energy you come from matters.

Your capacity to move through your fear and anxiety

and back into love and creativity,
matters.

Take a breath, have a cry, see the fear, and come back to you.

You are energy, you are stardust, you are a creator.

You matter.

You are matter.

What you are creating brings more of what matters to you into the world.

So take care of you,
reconnecting to how and who you really are

Matt and I knew we needed some new pics, and we'd been looking at all the pieces...

Locations, cameras, photographer, outfits...

Things were moving slowwwww ๐ŸŒ

The idea of putting everything together felt like we'd really have to hustle, push, you know, get "super focused." ๐Ÿฅต

I think I'd pretty much given up the idea of having a photo session anytime soon

And then yesterday Matt said,

hey, why don't we use your nice new white wall for some photos in the kids room?

Well shoot! Yes please!!

๐Ÿ‘we๐Ÿ‘had the๐Ÿ‘BEST TIME!๐Ÿ‘

We pulled out all our clothes, Matt popped to the hardware store and got this huge set or lights...

And then we just played โšก๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

It's amazing how easy things can be when you let go

And it's amazing how hard it can be to actually do it,

to let go of the push and the force

On Wednesday my youngest kiddo said some things that cut my Momma heart into shreds.

He didnโ€™t want me touching him, he didnโ€™t want me asking for extra time together, and he just basically didnโ€™t want me.

Heโ€™s 13 and such an incredible young man, and he struggles with how to have capacity for his big feelings.

It makes sense to want more space sometimes, and ๐™ก๐™š๐™–๐™ง๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™–๐™จ๐™  ๐™›๐™ค๐™ง ๐™ฉ๐™๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™œ๐™ง๐™–๐™˜๐™ž๐™ค๐™ช๐™จ๐™ก๐™ฎ ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ข๐™ž๐™™๐™™๐™ก๐™š ๐™ค๐™› ๐™›๐™š๐™š๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™›๐™ง๐™ช๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š๐™™ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฎ๐™š๐™™ ๐™ž๐™จ ๐™—๐™ž๐™œ ๐™ฌ๐™ค๐™ง๐™
