Did you know that kinesio tape can help with postural correction?! ✔️ Kinesio tape is a simple therapy that can help correct muscle imbalances associated with poor postural habits, which play a huge role in why we end up with aches and pains after sitting, slouched-over, at our desk all day. The tape is applied with a specific tension in a specific direction that will enhance proprioceptive feedback. Every time you slouch forward in poor posture, the tape cause a pull and serve as a gentle reminder to correct your posture.
This taping by Dr. Shejza Mino was done to help provide relief for neck pain. Relieving tension in the muscles of the neck may help ease headache symptoms.
We have kinesio tape available for sale at 70 University Ave!

Do you ever feel tightness in your glutes or pain/numbness travelling from your glutes and down the leg?
Here are some self muscle techniques you can do at home to alleviate muscle tightness in your piriformis and/or glute muscles.

Piriformis Lacrosse Ball Release on Wall
🔹 Have the lacrosse ball against the wall and lean into the ball with your right glute

🔹 Lean into the ball (right) and roll over the area of tightness (this can be side to side, up & down, circular motions
NOTE: in these demos we are working on the right side. If it is your left leg that is giving you pain - perform this on your left side.

Dr. Shejza Mino @mino.health shows us how to get our hearts pumping for the weekend! 🤸♂️
Here is a quick, equipment free, cardio routine you can try at home! Complete each exercise for 45 seconds/3x each. For more of a challenge, try to complete this circuit 5x!
It is well established that consistent exercise helps to improve mood, energy levels and overall health & well-being. Additionally, moderate-intensity exercise is a natural way to release endorphins.
Although research states that continuous exercise for at least 30-minutes is needed to release these desired endorphins, however it doesn’t mean anything less isn’t beneficial! The key is to get your heart rate & breathing speed up, and keep both elevated, for the entire duration of your routine.
Nothing is more mood boosting than breaking a sweat to your favourite tunes! 💪 Let us know how it goes!
