Your baby’s nervous system is beautifully wired to yours. Through co-regulation, they sense and mirror your state of calm or stress.
This is why your well-being is one of the most powerful tools for helping your baby!

Postpartum life and processing a challenging birth can leave you feeling depleted and dysregulated, which your baby can pick up on.
Craniosacral Therapy for moms is essential. It provides a space for your own body and nervous system to release tension, process your experience, and find balance.

When you are regulated, you become a safe anchor for your baby, deepening your connection.

That late afternoon/early evening period of intense fussiness can test any parent.

Often, this isn't just random crying; it's a sign of a dysregulated nervous system.

Your baby has spent the day processing sights, sounds, and sensations. Their system can easily become overwhelmed by the end of the day.

Craniosacral Therapy helps soothe and reset the nervous system.

This helps your baby to better handle the day’s activities, potentially easing those witching hour meltdowns in the future.

You don't have to do it alone. Book an appointment today.

Wondering about the rise in lip and tongue tie diagnoses?

It’s due to increased awareness of how they impact feeding and comfort. While a frenectomy is a key step, it’s not a magic wand. Your baby’s body has built up compensatory tension, so a whole-body approach is crucial for the best outcome.

Before release, Craniosacral Therapy (CST) gently unwinds tension in the neck, jaw, and shoulders. This makes the procedure smoother and helps your baby integrate their new mobility. Afterward, CST addresses remaining tension, supporting optimal healing and function for lasting results.

Ready to give your baby comprehensive support before and after their frenectomy?

Understanding your newborn’s needs can be confusing. You know they’re trying to communicate something to you, but the message isn’t always clear.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) offers incredibly gentle support for babies in their first weeks, helping to resolve physical stresses from birth, promote peaceful feeding, and encourage comfortable sleep.

Many Toronto parents choose CST as a proactive step for their newborn's well-being. Give your baby the best possible start.

noring and mouth breathing in babies and children aren't just cute quirks; they can be signs of restricted airflow.

Healthy jaw and facial growth are essential for an open airway. When the upper jaw (maxilla) develops properly, it creates a wide palate and plenty of room in the nasal cavity for easy breathing.

Restrictions in the cranial bones, face, and neck can hinder this growth, leading to a high, narrow palate and compromised airways.

Craniosacral Therapy can gently release these restrictions, and when combined with oro-facial exercises, we can support optimal facial development and promote quiet, nasal breathing for better sleep and health.

For babies born via vacuum assistance, the pressures involved can sometimes leave subtle strains on their delicate cranial structures and nervous system.

This might show up as fussiness, feeding difficulties, or head preference. At MyBaby CST, we frequently see babies who have experienced vacuum-assisted births.

Our gentle CranioSacral Therapy can help release these specific tensions, supporting optimal head shape, nervous system regulation, and overall comfort.

A fast, long, induced, or assisted (forceps/vacuum) birth can be overwhelming for a baby's tiny system.

While they are incredibly resilient, this stress can be stored as tension in their body, showing up as colic, feeding issues, or difficulty settling.

You're not imagining it! Craniosacral Therapy offers a gentle, non-invasive way to help your baby process their birth experience.

Through subtle touch, a therapist helps their nervous system down-regulate from a "fight or flight" state and release physical strains.

It’s a way to acknowledge their story and support their transition into the world.

Does your baby favor turning their head to one side?

This preference, often linked to torticollis or tension from their position in the womb, is a primary cause of flat spots (plagiocephaly).
This same underlying tension can also dysregulate their delicate nervous system, making it hard to settle into a deep, restorative sleep.
Craniosacral Therapy gently works to release these restrictions in the soft tissue surrounding the cranial bones, spine, and neck.

This can improve their range of motion, reduce the flat spot, and calm their nervous system, paving the way for more peaceful sleep for everyone.

Osteopaths developed CST, so the two modalities have similarities and overlapping techniques.

While CST and Osteopathy both use gentle, hands-on approaches, they have distinct yet complementary focuses for infant health.

Generally speaking (every practitioner has their preferred way of treating), Osteopaths take a broad view, assessing and treating the musculoskeletal system as a whole to improve overall function and address restrictions.

CST primarily focuses on the craniosacral system and the fascial network that connects the whole body, addressing and releasing fascial tension to help the body function optimally.

An osteopathic approach can enhance CST, and vice versa!
Together, they offer a powerful combination for your baby's well-being.
We're excited to welcome osteopaths to our MyBaby CST family, expanding our holistic support for your little one.
