Most people hear “mind–body” and think it means not real.

But your brain is part of your body.
It learns, adapts, and protects.

Nothing about that is imagined.

Not all pain isn’t damage, it’s danger. And danger changes with safety. This is especially true for chronic pains lasting longer than 3 or so months.

If it comes and goes, shows up with stress, or never quite sticks…
you might not be broken. You might be protectively wired. I can help.

There’s a “For Rent” sign on my clinic.

And it’s exactly the right move.

Not disappearing.
Not starting over.
Just evolving.

Same work.
Same approach.
New space, better fit.

Your body does this too.

It adapts.
It recalibrates.
It lets go of what no longer fits.

That’s not a problem.

That’s the process.

More soon.

30% is enough.

Most people think they need to feel 100% ready before they move.

But your brain is wired to focus on what’s missing.
So at 30%, it shows you the 70% you don’t have.

That’s where people get stuck.

Growth doesn’t come from what’s missing.
It comes from what’s already there.

Use the 30%.
Grow it.

You don’t need to be fully ready.
You just need enough to begin.

You’re not broken.

Five or six years ago, I stopped trying to fix my foot pain.

What I learned is that a lot of chronic pain is not about damage. It is about sensitivity.

My system had learned to treat normal pressure as dangerous. So it created pain to protect me.

When I started working with my feet instead of fighting them, things began to change.

Slow exposure. Safe pressure. Rebuilding trust.

Over time, capacity came back. Strength came back. Movement came back.

That is the shift.

Not fixing.

Relearning.

Most people don’t need more effort.

They need a different starting point.

When your body feels unsafe, pushing harder just adds pressure.

Start lower.

Create safety. Stay curious. Move gently.

Then build from there.

That’s how your body learns it’s okay to move again.

Change works the same way you peel the sticker off an apple.
Find the edge, then slowly peel it back.

Sometimes we knock ourselves into the ground with workouts.

Not because we’re weak.
Not because we lack discipline.

Often it’s because we’re not yet hearing what the body is trying to tell us.

Many of us were raised in a culture that celebrates pushing harder, grinding through, and proving our toughness in the gym.

But the body doesn’t always work that way.

Your nervous system and your stress bucket are active in every part of life. Work stress, life stress, and poor sleep all fill that bucket. When it’s full, the body may not have room for a crushing workout.

Learning to notice that signal and adjust is not quitting.

It’s wisdom.
It’s regulation.
It’s how you stay strong and moving for decades.

Stress is not always something you feel.

Sometimes it is simply the amount of energy your body is spending to stay balanced.

You can look steady on the outside while your system is working overtime underneath.

Your body is not betraying you when it speaks up.

It is giving you information.

If your body has been trying to tell you something lately, it might be worth listening.

Getting ready for St. Mike’s Paddle Royale the only way I know how. 😆

This year I’m captaining a team to raise funds for the incredible work St. Michael’s Hospital does for our city.

If you’d like to sponsor me and support local healthcare, I’d be grateful. Link in bio.

Eyes closed. Still connected. 👀

More than 6 months of pain.
Tried everything.
Still not better?

There may be nothing wrong with your body.

You may just be solving the wrong problem.

I put together the four things that were quietly keeping my pain alive for years, even though I was doing all the right things.

If you want it, comment FOUR below or send me a message and I’ll send it to you.
