Community Terms

For more than 122 years, our company has grown in communities small and large across Canada, and we are grounded in community spirit.

The Canada Life page is a place for you to discover a sense of community - a place to learn about financial security planning for yourself, your family or business, to share stories, and to see what Canada Life is doing in communities across the country.

That being said, we think it's important to establish some ground rules to help keep this community family-friendly and inclusive to everyone. These are our Community Terms. You are welcome to add comments to our page, but please be aware that we may remove comments containing:

· Spam, advertising, soliciting or links to external sites not previously approved by Canada Life.

· Personal or confidential information (such as a telephone number or home address) about you or someone else.

· Requests for or offers of medical or financial advice.

· Content that, to our knowledge, violates the intellectual property rights of another.

· Rants, blasts, or any other offensive and unproductive content that doesn’t contribute positively to the conversation.

· Language or topics that may offend other members of the community including content (including photos) that is discriminatory, offensive, crude, harassing, abusive, defamatory or threatening, or that contains profanity (even in short or abbreviated form) or discussion of illegal activities.

In addition to removing your post, additional consequences for violating our Community Terms vary depending on the severity of the violation and the person’s history on the Canada Life page. For instance, we may also restrict your ability to post comments on, or remove your access to, the Canada Life page, at our discretion.

Confidentiality and privacy are important. If you are a Canada Life client or plan member and have specific questions about your policy or coverage, or about the services we provide, to protect your privacy, we cannot answer them here. We’ll ask that you send your information to us by email or another means. We’re here to help, so we will do our best to direct your question to the appropriate customer service representative so they can communicate with you directly.
