Kidney disease describes a variety of conditions and disorders that affect the kidneys. Most kidney disease attack the filtering units of the kidneys—the nephrons—and damage their ability to eliminate wastes and excess fluids.

ABOUT INA
Ina is an accomplished professional with broad experience in the healthcare field. She is also an incredible mother of 2 adult children, Matas and Nerija, who love her dearly. Ina enjoys spending time with her family, as well as with her best friend and husband, Mark. Ina has been living with a chronic kidney disease for her entire life and, unfortunately, her kidney function has deteriorated to the point where she needs a kidney transplant. Last winter, she found out that none of her family members are eligible to donate to her - Ina is 99% hypersensitized. This means that 99% of the donor pool is not a match for her. Ina needs your help. We want to increase her chances of getting a new kidney - by coming forward/engaging and getting tested, we will be able to see if you are a match for her.
