The final BBDC Trainee Lab Seminar Series for this academic year will take place on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 12 to 1 p.m. The seminar will be held in-person at the Toronto General Hospital.

Majid Mufaqam Syed Abdul from Dr. Gary Lewis' lab, Haiyang Huang from Dr. Cristina Nostro's lab and Nitya Gulati from Dr. Jonathan Rocheleau lab will present their latest research.

Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The BBDC has an incredible group of women in science as part of our membership. They are working towards improved treatments for diabetes and, one day, a cure. They are also inspiring the next generation of women in science.

In April 2024, we began a strategic planning process to identify and explore new ideas to determine the future direction of the BBDC. This inclusive process led to the development of a 5-year roadmap that will guide us as we implement our strategic directions, strengthening our core work with the diabetes community locally and delivering global impact through targeted collaborative initiatives.
