In September of 2020, I enrolled in a Mindset coaching program with Catherine Farquharson.
Like many in the program, I was developing a vision of my future self.
One aspect of that vision was "the businesswoman"—the version of me who had her s**t together. Her desk was always organized and impeccable, ready for the next task. She felt in charge, adaptable, equipped with clarity and calmness. Her space inspired creativity and focus, even for the tasks I used to procrastinate on—like bookkeeping and admin work. The very tasks that, when left undone, blocked the flow of energy to create, produce, and manifest.
Step by step, I became her. And as I had imagined, it feels incredibly liberating. There is so much flow and ease. I’m even excited to tackle those once-dreaded tasks because I now see how they contribute to the whole and how deeply they are connected to my core beliefs.
But I won’t pretend it was easy. It took years.
Back then, I was in a place of lack and fear, drained from trying to be her without aligning with the root issues. That old version of me was defeated by self-judgment and lacked support—from herself, to herself (mostly). It was a longer journey than I would have liked, but one that transformed me into who I am today.
A Visual Transformation
I want to show you a tangible representation of this growth—what my office looked like then versus now, five years later. Take a moment to notice how each image makes you feel. Can you sense the difference in energy?
Stick to your journey, everyone. Keep believing in yourself and growing—it’s so worth it.
As for me? I can’t wait to meet the next version of myself.
