I even try to hold it for 4 additional in the middle, giving the alveoli that extra time to grab every bit of oxygen they can. GREAT advice.

As bad as your day might feel, at least "most" of you can say you're not getting shot at. Try COMBAT BREATHING - 4 seconds inhale - 4 seconds exhale - repeat until calm. Then carry on...

Compressions MUST be faster (twice per second while still maintaining 1/3 chest depth) but on this one, a save is a save is a save - WAY TO GO, COPS!!

I love a lot of the old-school ways, especially the bending of the rules where it's for the good of the patient, which is the ONLY goal at the end of the day.
My mom was raised this way, and Grandma was SuperNurse. Don't ever, EVER mess with The Charge Nurse, especially if she's Old School.

This, this...different nationalities, different faiths - presumably - and none of that mattered. Get to work.
(I wish the soldiers had some of my face shields, but that makes it all the more poignant - that soldier and the civilians with him just Got To Work and DID the job.

Let's get moving on this, Kathleen Wynne. No excuses. This should take EMERGENCY precedence over ANY other curriculum.

New York moved closer this week toward becoming the 20 th state to have CPR in Schools after Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a revised CPR in Schools bill. The new law, signed Tuesday, calls for the commissioner of the State Education Department and the Board of Regents to make the final decision about including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator instruction as part of required curriculum to graduate from high school.
