McMaster University is recruiting participants for a research study: CBT for Paternal Perinatal Depression Pilot RCT. The study aims to determine whether a group cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) intervention is helpful for fathers and fathers-to-be who have been feeling depressed, sad, anxious, worried, angry, or overwhelmed.
Half of participants will attend an online, 9-weeek group CBT program designed for fathers. Half of participants will receive care as usual.
You may be eligible to participate if you are:
- 18 years or older and living in Ontario
- Identify as a father who is expecting or have a baby less than 18 months old
- Able to read and communicate in English
For more information and to register, visit: https://redcap.link/dadscbt or email dadscbt@mcmaster.ca.
This study has been reviewed by the Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board (HiREB) under Project #19097. Version 1: August 26, 2026.
