occurs when an has been repeatedly stressed by training to the point where rest is no longer adequate to allow for recovery.
🔥If sufficient rest is not included in a training program, then regeneration cannot occur and performance will actually plateau.
🔥If this imbalance between excess training and inadequate rest persists, then performance may even decline.
🔥Athletes and coaches may also describe this as “burnout” or “staleness” or as a result of going “too hard, too fast, too often.”

Why should you brush your teeth and floss daily? To prevent diseases and infections that could result in costly and time consuming consequences! Imagine how much your mouth and teeth go through every day? We're not teeth specialists but our neighbour teeth experts .smile
recommend brushing 2x daily for 2 minutes and flossing once daily (minimum 4-5/week)

Now imagine what your neck muscles go through on a daily basis. Muscles that are overworked will create tension and tense muscles like to pull. Your posture and joint will ultimately suffer. Just like the wonderful oral health habits you've created, you should integrate neck stretches and strengthening to your daily routine!

Way to go to this patient-doctor team!!

This driver had enough back pain to hinder his work and he was determined to get better. Dr. Martin Lai helped him with returning the function of his joints and muscles. Together, they worked on better ergonomic seating positions in the car and stabilization exercises he can do between deliveries. After a few sessions, he's back on the road!

Rotator cuff injuries can take a long time to treat and heal, so special attention and patience is essential. These injuries have a high risk of re-injury unless good strength training is carried out. Don't take your health for granted! Make sure your injuries are treated properly.

What do babies, public speakers, vocalists and wind instrumentalists have in common? You can master the art of taking in a lot of air through their diaphragm. Without efficient air intake, artists are limited in the control of your expression.

For adults, it's not easy to train for breathing through your diaphragm. But there are ways to help you drastically improve your breathing.

We use a simple test with this measuring tape to determine what kind of breather and how far along your training you are.

Ask .amychan about how we can get you speaking and singing more in tune and more controlled! S/o to for giving the doc a hand!

First work day with the new time change. Hope you've updated your clocks.

Our bodies depend on light to signal our inner clocks with a chemical called melatonin. Our inner clock and melatonin work together to help us fall asleep, fight illnesses and regulate female reproductive cycles.

Make sure you're keeping a regular sleeping schedule to help with recovering from your daily body demands!

Anyone wanna tell .amychan

Meet Dr. Amy. After following Dr. Martin for a year I followed Dr. Amy for 6 months and here's what I know. She's sweet and bubbly. She'll make you feel comfortable with yourself and is a great listener. Patients are always surprised how gentle but strong she can be.

Her singing voice is as sweet as her personality.

I should stop talking about her, or someone will pick her up and carry her away...

Sincerely,
Hipster the skeleton

Meet Dr. Martin. I have been following Dr. Martin for the past year. Here's what I know about him. He's great at teaching what you need to know and relate it to what you already know. Many patients really enjoy his hands on and practical approach. He loves to see and share smiles.

His sneezes are loud.

Sincerely,
Hipster the skeleton
