Finally!
““The rats are absolutely going to hate this announcement. But the rats don’t run this city, we do.”

When Jessica Tisch, New York City’s recently installed sanitation commissioner, uttered those two short sentences during a news conference in mid-October, while announcing new rules for putting garbage bags out on the sidewalk, she had no idea she was about to become a social media sensation.”

Jessica Tisch is determined to clean up New York.

Stress and Breath...

One of the main concepts in yoga is being non-judgmental toward both our self and others, which is a powerful tool for stress relief since much of our stress comes from us being hard on ourselves or frustrated with others. A fundamental principle of yoga is that our body and mind are one and connected.

Pranayama is not only the part of yoga; perhaps most important tool in Yoga practices. The ancient yogis discovered that the breath, which is normally automatic, has profound effects on the nervous system if consciously controlled, with the potential either to increase activation or promote relaxation, depending on the practice. Through Pranayama practice, we come to realize how our breath affects how we feel and how we can use it to alter our state being.

Pranayama practice trains our counter-stress response system called the parasympathetic nervous system. With regular yoga practice, our chronic daytime stress hormone levels drop and our heart rate variability increases, which is measure of our ability to tolerate stress.

Diaphragmatic Breathing and Ujjayi Breathing are the common and easy yogic way of calming the mind. Because these two breathing practices don’t have any contra – indications, Anyone can do these two breathing practices.

Take a deep breath…..

Inhale……. All the positive energy enter your mind and body

Exhale…. All your negative energy coming out from your body and mind.

“Controlling the fluctuations of the breath through yogic pranayamas helps calm the fluctuations of the mind”

Have a stress free 2019....

Big announcement from Brussels;!!

“Next Bikram Yoga Teacher Training is in Murcia, Spain at The Sheraton Hacienda del Alamo Golf & Spa.
It's from April 28th to June 30th 2019.
Feel free to join us there for a weekend or a week or several weeks as a visitor for a yoga holiday , 2 classes / Day: the afternoon classes given by Bikram Choudhury himself & as well as lectures given by Bikram. If you wish to improve your practice & deepen your knowledge, this The Real Deal!!
If you are a student at Bikram Yoga Louise Brussels, we are willing to finance your teacher training & you would have a studio ( probably a 2nd one by then) to come teach!! We need more local teachers!!
You can do the TT in 2 times : 4 weeks in the spring & 5 weeks in the fall if 9 weeks is too much time for you!
Food for thought!
It's an incredible experience, you come out a different person & your practice will improve 360°!
I just went 2 weeks to Acapulco to get recertified & my practice - only in 2 weeks - has improved tremendously, also much more motivated, I have learnt too much & it was so inspiring to reconnect with all my fellow teachers all over the world & of course with TT staff & Bikram himself!”

The 4 Bees of Bikram Yoga 😀

Even with the modern sciences and the advancement in technology, in this day and age we know nothing about how our breath, brain and body work together give rise to consciousness. In the last two decades, however, the world has seen a lot of work being done through scientific research trying to find out how consciousness happens. Scientists from different disciplines like neuroscience, physics, virtual reality, mathematics, psychiatry, psychology, neurology, computer science and even philosophy are working together to understand the mysteries of consciousness.

In the physical world we experience mostly an outside reality; seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, feeding … our connection with our inside is very limited. Most people don’t even know their own human anatomy, like where are the kidneys? how many muscles do we have? which part of the spine is responsible for which part of the body? why breathing should be through the nose and not the mouth? what happens when we lock the knee? The realities of our insides are very different from the realities of the outside.

Unfortunately we don't pay attention to our inside until something goes wrong there. And when that happens we run to the doctors and specialists. Bikram Yoga simply asks you one question, “Why should you wait for that time to come?"

BODY 🙂
Bikram Yoga is the most effective anatomy class that exists for the average human being. It explores all the basic parts of the body and what is their function and what you should do to keep them functioning in a healthy way. It teaches 26 physical asanas to help practitioners maintain and even improve range of motion, so the body can remain youthful and full of energy. Bikram Yoga works every single muscle, bone, joint, ligament, tissue, organ and cell in your body.

BRAIN 🙂
Bikram Yoga is also an incredible brain trainer. Practicing concentration, focus, balance, determination, will power, observation, non-reaction, positive thinking and so many more aspects of the brain are stimulated that refresh our mental abilities and make us stronger. As a result, we achieve so much mental strength and clarity from our regular practice.

BREATH 🙂
Bikram Yoga purifies the breath. Starting with Pranayama breathing, you bring your brain and body together with this profound breathing technique. No breath, no life. Learning how to breathe is one of the most important and beneficial things you can learn in life. Wish we were taught in school how to breathe. Breath control is the key to meditation and yoga. Bikram Yoga increases the vitality of life by improving the quality of our breath. “Eyes Open. Breathing Normal.” 😀
BE 🙂
Bikram Yoga encourages you to come as you are because we believe that you are “Never too old, never too bad, never too late, never too sick to start from scratch once again.” - Bikram Choudhury.
Bikram Yoga is for everyone … EVERY ONE! 🙂
All you gotta do is come with all your heart, with an open heart and mind… come with love for yourself, love for yourself for the way you are, love for your practice that makes you stronger and stronger with each class, love for your dedication to living a healthier life, love for your desire to get a good workout and sweat, love for your presence in this cosmic consciousness, love for your BE-ing 🙂

When you practice Bikram Yoga you feed all the 4 Bs separately as well as collectively. Nothing is left unattended or unnoticed.

This is why we believe Bikram Yoga is the best practice to raise levels of consciousness through Body, Brain, Breath and your whole Being ❤

Happiness is doing Bikram Yoga.
