For our first of the new year we wanted to show off the amazing masterpieces that our team made at a recent pottery class. This clayful bunch sure is talented in so many ways!

There are a few new friendly faces in this picture that we have had the joy of adding to our lovely staff team over the past little bit. We can’t wait to introduce them to all of you soon!

💭😄 Popping, Playing, and Progressing💭😄

The happiness radiating from this recent Speech-Language Pathology session with therapist, Karina, is so contagious! I mean who can resist the fun of bubbles?!

Bubbles are such a wonderful therapy tool because…
⭐️ They can be used to practice social skills like turn taking and eye contact
⭐️ They can be used to help teach speech sounds like /p/ for “pop” and /b/ for “bubble”
⭐️ Blowing bubbles with a bubble wand can also help to practice mouth shapes for saying certain sounds and words (E.g. lip rounding for an oo sound)
⭐️ So many kiddos love them!

It has been so much fun showing off our second location of The Hive to everyone who has visited so far!

We can’t keep this under wraps anymore - we’re too excited!!! Announcing - The Hive North York!

Located inside the wonderful Kidcrew Medical's new North York location, we've teamed up to offer even more of our trusted OT, PT and SLP services.

And of course, we'll continue to offer our same high-quality therapy services at our East Toronto location. Expect expanded weekend, evening, and after-school availability starting September 2023!

🥳 Exciting News 🥳

We are so happy to announce The Hive’s new 6-week Teen Social Group! Our Occupational Therapy team designed this series excited to apply a neurodiversity-affirming lens to social programming for teenagers.

We welcome teens between 13-17 years old to join us as we create a vibrant and inclusive community where friendships are formed, self-advocacy is celebrated, and fun is had by all! Program sessions will include games and icebreakers, creative art activities, and semi-guided discussions!
