Not all fats are created equal — and this is one of the biggest mindset shifts I see clients make when they begin focusing on skin health from the inside out. 🤍
Healthy fats are essential for glowing skin, hormone balance, brain function, and reducing inflammation. Foods like avocado, wild-caught salmon, olive oil, nuts, and seeds can actually SUPPORT healthy aging and skin barrier function.
What I encourage clients to become more mindful of are highly processed oils and hidden seed oils that are found in so many everyday foods — even the ones marketed as “healthy.” Things like conventional salad dressings, chips, restaurant foods, sauces, protein bars, coffee creamers, and fast food are often loaded with heavily processed oils that may contribute to inflammation in the body over time.
This isn’t about perfection or fear around food. It’s about awareness, balance, and making small shifts that support your skin, nervous system, and overall wellness long term. ✨
One thing I often recommend when going out to eat ( because we are still human) is ensuring you are getting enough antioxidant support, especially vitamin E, which plays an important role in protecting cell membranes from oxidative stress and supporting brain, skin, and nervous system health. Healthy fats and antioxidants work beautifully together in the body.
Your skin truly reflects what is happening internally. Healthy skin starts far beyond skincare alone. 🤍
