Our 3rd Annual Birdies for Babies Was a Hole-in-One! ⛳✨

On Monday, September 15th we hosted our third annual Birdies for Babies Golf Tournament at Coppinwood Golf Club. From the friendly competition on the course to the excitement of trophies, prizes, and raffle winners, guests enjoyed delicious food, an open bar and awesome swag!

But the best part??
Because of YOU, we raised over $256,000, allowing us to purchase life-saving equipment for the NICU at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. 💙👶

A HUGE thank you to our dedicated Co-Chairs Daniel Winberg and Shael Weinreb, and their dedicated committee.

❗️Ministry of Health Report: Shaare Zedek Leads in Quality Measures

The 2024 Quality Report of the Ministry of Health ranks Shaare Zedek Medical Center among the leading hospitals in Israel.
The center recorded a very low mortality rate—just 3%—and is among the top five hospitals in the country for treating strokes and brain events.🧠

🆘The Emergency Medicine Division is the largest in Jerusalem and among the largest nationwide, treating more than 150,000 patients a year.
“This certificate of honor for our emergency team is a professional and quality recognition,” said Dr. Gal Peis, Head of the Emergency Division.
“The low mortality rate of our patients is another sign of the professionalism and abilities of the emergency department staff, and I am very proud of them.”

Shaare Zedek’s CEO, Prof. Ofer Merin, added:
“This is a great source of pride every year, to be among the best in the country in quality of care. Shaare Zedek is committed to excellence and innovation and invests significant resources in patient care at both the professional and personal level.

Big milestone at the Jesselson Integrated Heart Center in Jerusalem!

➡️ The first-ever endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) procedure at Shaare Zedek was performed using the Terumo VirtuoSaph® Plus system.

👏 The procedure was successfully carried out by Dr. Ari Naimark, Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Why this matters for patients:
✔ Smaller incision → less pain & faster recovery
✔ Lower risk of wound complications
✔ Better cosmetic results
✔ Excellent vein conduit quality for CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)

President Isaac Herzog visited Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem this afternoon following the terror attack that took place earlier today.

“Michal and I came to visit the wounded and injured who endured this terrible, murderous attack this morning in the Ramat neighborhood. Innocent citizens lost their lives at the hands of terrorists, cold-bloodedly murdered.”

What we see here is absolute evil. And against this absolute evil we must continue to fight with all our strength.

Wishing a speedy recovery to those injured and prayers to the families that lost their loved ones in this tragic attack.
