Meet Bobo! She is a registered massage therapist. Bobo’s practice is focused on helping you return to pain-free life and optimal well-being. She believes that there is no pain too small or too complex. Over the years, she developed an interest in treating chronic tension, sciatica, postural dysfunctions, stress relief and arthritic pain.

Her approach to massage therapy incorporates general Swedish massage, deep tissue release and trigger point therapy. This encourages deep relaxation necessary for the body to heal.

Our registered massage therapist provides therapeutic massage that is used to treat pain and chronic health issues, and may have a relaxation element to it.The massage therapist typically sees the patient frequently for the first few weeks or months. Fungal nails are infections beneath the nail's surface, which often penetrates the nail itself. The nail may become discoloured, brittle, loosened from the nail bed, thickened, crumbly or foul smelling. In severe cases, surgical removal of the nail may be necessary.

Who needs a medical pedicure?

Patients who require medical pedicures may have difficulty cutting their own toenails like seniors, they may be diabetic, or they may have recurring corns/calluses/ingrown toenails that require attention.

It is common for patients to have a regularly scheduled medical pedicure every 6-8 weeks.

If you are diagnosed with diabetes and experience numbness, tingling, or burning sensation in your feet, those could be early signs of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. At your initial appointment, our chiropodists will perform a full and thorough diabetic foot screen. The Monofilament Test is the golden standard to check for any damages to the nerves that are responsible for the protective sensation in your feet.

Interdigital corns are dead skin build up as a reaction to pressure and friction. If two toes are pressed together either by footwear or toe deformities, then an interdigital corn can form. They are often times painful and make wearing closed-toe footwear difficult. Self-treating with over-the-counter products may further aggravate the corns and cause more inflammation in the area. Our chiropodist can debride and enucleate interdigital corns in a safe, sterile and pain-free manner. To prevent interdigital corns from returning, proper footwear and offloading is required. Our foot clinic carries a wide variety of silicone toe separators to reduce the pressure and friction in between the toes.
