Spring training almost didn’t start on this windy 6 degree day. But then I thought about how you all believe in me, and have supported me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Besides the fear and experience of cancer is much worse than a cold day.

I wrote this reflection last year on a piece of paper explaining why I personally started cycling as a non-athlete really:

“Every hill, every tough Km is a chance to prove to yourself you can get through anything. I will laugh, I will cry. It’s an emotional journey. S**t happens and you get to keep going!”

In fact, my legs almost gave out today. Thanks to the best riding partner for pushing me along.

Active piriformis stretches are often “better” than passive ones because they train your body, not just lengthen tissue:

➡️more functional
➡️build strength in new range
➡️reduce guarding tension

So often we want to blame core or posture for hip and back pain.

In most cases, though, if our hip moves in all 6 directions - as it should - and then we play with that to integrate body and soul, we start to make lasting changes.
