Meet Kristyn Watterworth

Kristyn Watterworth is a Toronto-based artist and muralist whose work bursts with colour, movement, and joy. A graduate of York University’s Honours BFA in Visual Art, Kristyn’s career has taken her from teaching hundreds of students at her Bayfield studio to painting large-scale murals in Brooklyn, London, Waterloo, and even creating art installations in New York City. Her vibrant style and fearless creativity bring brightness and positive energy to every project she touches.

This summer, Kristyn generously volunteered her time and talent to guide New Visions Toronto through the creative transformation of Benny the Beaver for the CNE’s Beaver Project. With patience, warmth, and an infectious passion for art, she worked alongside the people we support, staff, and volunteers, ensuring every brushstroke reflected our community’s spirit.

Her creative direction turned collaboration into magic, resulting in a show-stopping Benny that has been stopping visitors in their tracks at this year’s CNE.

We are deeply grateful to Kristyn for sharing not only her artistic skills, but also her heart, in making Benny a masterpiece.

The week’s ending, but the summer adventures keep rolling

Majed and Yosef have returned from their second cottage getaway to the beautiful Campbellford area this summer — and what a trip it was!
They spent their days relaxing on the deck overlooking the Trent River, barbecuing, swimming, and heading out on daily adventures. This time, their explorations included hiking trails in the Northumberland County Forest, visiting a sunflower farm 🌻, meeting the charming residents of an alpaca farm (including three enormous, gentle dogs who protect the alpacas , and enjoying the sandy shores of Sandbanks Provincial Park.
From peaceful swims with treetop views to sunny beach moments, this trip was full of fresh air, nature, and happy memories. 💛

Summer days are best spent by the water!

This week, Majed enjoyed a picture-perfect visit to Centre Island – one of Toronto’s most iconic and beloved spots. From ferry rides with stunning skyline views to the peaceful green spaces and fresh lake breeze, it was a day full of smiles, sunshine, and sweet moments.

Toronto summers don’t last forever, but the memories sure do!

Sailing Under the Stars – A Magical Evening for a Meaningful Cause

New Visions Toronto is thrilled to announce the return of our signature fall fundraising event — Sailing Under the Stars!

Mark your calendars for Friday, November 7, 2025, as we set sail at the beautiful Mimico Cruising Club for an unforgettable evening in support of individuals with complex physical and developmental disabilities.

With the shimmering lake as our backdrop, guests will enjoy a warm and elegant evening beginning at 6:00 PM, featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a gourmet sit-down dinner, live entertainment, and a lively auction — plus a few magical surprises along the way!

With only 100 guests in attendance, this intimate event promises meaningful connection, inspiration, and impact.

Nothing like a night of belly laughs at Second City! Jesse had such a blast, we’re pretty sure his face hurt from smiling too much. Who knew laughter could be such a great workout? 😄
