Autism awareness in therapy means recognizing and understanding that the goal of therapy is not to “cure” Autistic people but to support them in achieving their goals whether it be speech, language, social or emotional development and living fulfilling lives.

Speech and language delays tend to be among parents’ earliest developmental concerns.
