Brittany Davis, MSc, PhD Candidate, PAS, is a passionate equestrian providing individualized and science-based equine nutrition, biomechanical analysis, and exercise physiology programs for horses.

🎉SPEAKER #2 ANNOUNCEMENT for our upcoming Seminar Day🎉
Brittany will be speaking on equine nutrition!!

Brittany Davis of is a life-long equestrian who began riding at six years of age. Her well-rounded experience encompasses a range of disciplines in English, western, racing and polo. She has always been passionate about animal health and well-being. Brittany is a PhD Candidate at the University of Calgary where she is researching equine biomechanics, performance and nutrition. Her research has encompassed everything from reining to racing. She is a registered Professional Animal Scientist specializing in horses through the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists. Brittany often works in collaboration with veterinarians and other equine professionals. She believes in a team approach to horse health and care. In her downtime, Brittany can be found spending time on her farm with her 5 horses.

Big thank you to the Olds College Exercise Rider Program for inviting me to speak on racehorse conformation, biomechanics, and my racehorse research. Thank you to the students who joined both in person and online. I had a great time!

Due to a loss in the family, we will be closed for a little while. We will also not be taking any new clients until the end of November. Any interested new clients will be put on a wait list for when we reopen to new clients. Current clients in process will be completed as soon as we are able to, we apologize for the delay. My first publication is out! So fortunate to be part of this incredible group of researchers. While I may put more of my nutrition skills to use on the day to day basis with my clients, my other area of interest is equine biomechanics. This is the first paper to come out with more planned over the next 3 years of my PhD and I can't wait to share everything I learn and discover.

I got to visit the handsome and talented Don Cavallo II yesterday with his owner Marilyn (pictured) and rider (thank you for taking the pictures) . For a 22yo horse, he is looking in top shape and performing at his best, you would never guess his age to watch him move. I've been working with Donny for a few years now to help keep him healthy, happy, and in top condition with a custom formulated nutrition plan.

Hay testing season has begun! 6 samples from 3 different farms are off to the lab for a complete analysis.

With the drought we've had in western Canada it is even more important to test your hay so you know how to best supplement your horses for the winter. Drought causes stress in the hay which can lead t a less than ideal nutritional profile. Knowing what is in your hay is the best way to have a targeted nutrition plan to ensure your horses maintain a healthy weight and can continue performing at their best.
