We often mistake fast problem-solving for strong leadership.
But when you consistently step in to fix things, you’re not just being helpful, you’re shaping how your team learns to function without you.
Over time, they stop thinking through uncertainty and start waiting for clarity to come from you. Not because they lack ability, but because they’ve been conditioned to pause instead of process.
Leadership isn’t measured by how quickly you rescue a situation. It’s measured by how well your team can navigate it without being rescued.
There’s a difference between supporting your team and carrying them. And that space in between is where real capability is built.
