Jampaling

Jampaling Join us on this journey. These individuals have shown extraordinary resilience in building new lives in Canada, often overcoming significant challenges.

Jampaling (ICRL)
A name bestowed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Jampaling is laying the groundwork for Canada’s first Tibetan & Trans-Himalayan long-term care home, where elders can age with dignity, culture, and care. Infinite Care Retirement Living, also known as "Jampaling," a name graciously bestowed by His Holiness The Dalai Lama, envisions a specific Long-Term Care Home dedicated to serving

Tibetan and Trans Himalayan Canadian seniors in Toronto and surrounding areas. Rooted in compassion, cultural pride, and a profound sense of responsibility, Jampaling strives to create a sanctuary where seniors receive specialized care while staying connected to their heritage. This vision is inspired by the unique needs of Tibetan Canadian seniors, whose lives are rich with traditions, spiritual practices, and shared histories. Now, they deserve a space where their cultural values are celebrated, their health is prioritized, and their sense of belonging is nurtured. Jampaling will be far more than a care facility—it will be a home filled with warmth, dignity, and familiarity. By embracing Tibetan cultural practices, including traditional diets, daily rituals, celebrations, and spiritual gatherings, we aim to create an environment where seniors feel a deep sense of peace and connection. Surrounded by others who share their language, beliefs, and experiences, residents will find companionship and community. Dedicated to holistic well-being, Jampaling will meet not only physical and medical needs but also nurture mental, emotional, and spiritual health. This comprehensive approach ensures that every resident experiences care that honours their unique identity and life journey. In building Jampaling, we are creating more than a home—we are establishing a legacy. It will stand as a testament to the resilience and contributions of the Tibetan and trans-Himalayan communities in Canada, providing future generations with a model of compassion, cultural preservation, and respect for elders. Together, we can bring this vision to life, offering our seniors a place where they are truly at home, surrounded by culture, care, and community. Jampaling will be a beacon of love and unity, ensuring that our elders live their golden years with the dignity and joy they so richly deserve.

This year, Jampaling (ICRL) received an overwhelming number of applications for our Canada Summer Jobs positions. Each application reflected genuine passion, care, and a desire to make a meaningful difference—reading them has been both inspiring and humbling.

As we move into the interview stage next week, invitation emails have been sent, with a few more to follow by the end of today. We want to encourage applicants to check their inbox and spam folders.

If you did not receive an interview invitation, please know this is not a reflection of your abilities or potential. We received far more qualified candidates than available positions, making the selection process incredibly difficult.

To everyone who applied—thank you. We deeply appreciate your interest in our mission and the time and effort you shared with us. We hope to stay connected and welcome you to engage with us through future volunteer opportunities and community events.

With gratitude,
Jampaling (ICRL)

On behalf of Jampaling (ICRL), we extend our deepest gratitude to Honourable Tibetan Parliament Member Geshe Lharampa Gawa Lobsang Phende la for recognizing our work and our vision of building a senior home for Tibetan and Trans-Himalayan elders in Ontario during the 11th Session of the 17th Tibetan Parliament (March 20, 2025).

Jampaling is more than a project—it is a heartfelt commitment to care for those who have carried our culture, endured our struggles, and preserved our identity. While there is still a long journey ahead, your recognition and call for support provide us with renewed strength, encouragement, and hope.

From Canada to Tibetan communities across the diaspora, we are deeply humbled by the growing support. Together, we can honour our elders with the dignity, compassion, and sense of home they truly deserve.

Jampaling (ICRL) is a registered charity in Ontario, Canada, dedicated to serving our seniors. We invite our community and supporters to come together to help turn this vision into reality.
