Ontario Health’s Mental Health & Addictions Centre of Excellence is recruiting for the Depression and Anxiety-Related Disorders (DARD) Provincial Advisory Table.

They want voices with lived or living experience of depression and/or anxiety—and family members/caregivers—to help shape services across Ontario.

If that’s you or someone you know, please consider applying. We’d especially love to see abstinence-based recovery represented at the table.

🌟 Meet Our Team: Miguel Evangelopoulos 🌟

We’re proud to introduce Miguel, one of our dedicated Peer Support Workers at Alpha House. With 34 years of lived experience in addiction, trauma, and recovery, Miguel brings deep empathy and understanding to our community. Currently studying at Centennial College, he supports vulnerable populations through outreach, facilitation, and food security initiatives. Miguel has contributed to organizations like TRZ Group, STIR Retreats, and St. Aidan’s Church, always combining practical support with compassion.

A graduate of The Gatehouse Phase 1 & 2 and its facilitator training, Miguel is also a member of Birds of a Feather and volunteers with Out of the Cold and STIR’s ISP witness training. His commitment to healing and community care inspires us all.
