To follow up on the post below, I just heard from a Probation Officer in another province that they are mandated to supervise only up to 50 hours of Community Service, as anything above that is considered not constitutional—I am attaching a picture of their policy indicating that. This person does not know for fact that the same rules/policies apply in Saskatchewan, but it is likely.

I asked Perplexity, which stated that Courts can sentence criminals to up to 240 hours of Community (Work) Service. But the Policy clearly indicates that Probation Officers are expected to advise the Court to terminate the sentence after only 50 hours. Thank you, Liberals of Canada.

And remember, a Canadian Veteran was fined $25K for merely *walking* on "forbidden land, i.e., in a forest!

I guess "Elbows up," which is an illegal move in hockey, applies only to decent, law-abiding Canadians...

For all of my "elbows up" friends who voted for 5(?) more years of Trudeau-era Liberal ideologies, policies and actions that have ruined Canada on all meaningful metrics (only mild hyperbole) over the past 10 years, what "news" do you watch/read/listen to in order to avoid such ugly truths about your dear leaders as these?

And please note that I saw these posts after literally only seconds of scrolling. If you have seen my other posts, you know there are *many* more unforgivable scandals/horrors/disasters that your favourite state-run media are hiding from you or distorting to protect their ma$ter$...

I have posted repeatedly about the phenomenon of "two movies on one screen" (I believe I first heard it from Dilbert creator Scott Adams).
I do not know if we can find a more obvious example of this problem than what is happening in Israel and the surrounding regions.
Here are two recent examples of what appear to be terrible tragedies or perhaps evil crimes—or something else:

The ongoing, longstanding suffering and deaths of so many innocent Palestinians continues to haunt me.
At the same time, I continue to assert that I am in no position to criticize Israel for its response to the unspeakable evil perpetrated by Hamas and many other Palestinians on October 7, 2023—as well as the countless other terrorist attacks and existential threats to the country/people's very existence for much/all of modern and ancient history, continuing today.
With all of that in mind, for those who believe you *can* and *should* criticize Israel/Zionists/the IDF/Jews, may I ask why you are so certain that everything you see/hear about the horrors occurring in the region are exactly as being alleged by Hamas and others?
I do appreciate that many of the witnesses are doctors and others who have no obvious reason to lie, and I do appreciate that there does seem to be a lot of evidence for various atrocities and tragedies.
Nevertheless, there have also been many instances of *disproven* allegations, as well as outright lies/fakeries. So how do you know or determine which claims and claimants are to be trusted?
For example, would you believe this gentleman/expert is credible: https://youtu.be/oYmY1sllh-0?si=BcstRIRFWnDGwJjB ? If not, why? And what makes *your* chosen sources any more credible?
Lastly—and again, none of this takes away from the nightmare that is the existence for so many Palestinians—why do so many people who are anti-Israel, Zionists, IDF and/or Jew fail to consider Hamas and the UN's role in certain decisions made, such as restriction/distribution of food and other resources? That is, there is unequivocal *proof* that Hamas steal the (vast) majority of those essential supplies for themselves and also for sale to the people they are ostensibly representing at reprehensibly high prices. Why should Israel continue to allow the incompetent and/or corrupt UN reps to facilitate such crimes for the benefit of *Hamas*?
Why have I seen/heard fewer supposed supporters of Palestinians call out the evil that is Hamas than brave Palestinians themselves have done?

Sadly, the essential stage of life depicted in this heartwarming video—and many more after it—is ruined by the ever-increasing number of parents who are addicted to their devices.
This is a contributing factor to the literally pathological need for attention/recognition/validation evinced by so many more young people today than ever before.
