I absolutely enjoyed doing this case. From the moment seeing the state of the dentition, to the patient's building more trust and asking more questions and exploring her options to restoring her aesthetic and function, the process and the transformation are what drive me to work everyday. When I finished and seeing her for the one week post op, she looks at me and said "I can eat anything...like anything" and I'm like " Yes! Isn't that what you want?" Lol!😁
Thank you to those who have contributed to the case.

Treatment planning for partially edentulous cases using dental implants requires considerations at many level. I like to think through my cases through four stages:
1/Pre-surgical planning
2/Surgical planning
3/Prosthetic planning
4/Long term maintenance consideration
I find that once I have these stages figured out, I can present most cases with confidence and get better patients' acceptance.
I will be offering a three hour online course sharing details how to think systematically to come up with a sound treatment plan.

Rome was never built in one day. I know we live in a world of instant gratification but for me doing dentistry has always been a lifetime commitment in improving my skills and helping my patients achieving their best. This patient has been with me for over ten years and she was very nervous about dentistry in the beginning. Previously, dental treatment often required some form of sedation. But over the years she got more comfortable being in the dental chair. We talked about this reconstruction for a few years and finally she took the plunge and I reconstructed her entire mouth with new crowns and dentures. It has been my pleasure seeing her transformation and her new smile. Lately she started inquiring about implants too. This is what keeps me going in dentistry. Changing the smile one person at a time.
