If calcium were the whole answer, the countries with the highest dairy consumption wouldn't also have the highest hip fracture rates. But they do.
Bone health is not a calcium problem. It's a nutrient teamwork problem.
Calcium needs vitamin D to be absorbed. Vitamin D needs magnesium to activate. Protein builds the collagen scaffold bones sit on. Exercise tells your bones to actually use all of it.

The good news? You can eat and move your way to stronger bones. No gimmicks.
Save this — it's the simplest bone health overview I can give you. Share it with someone who thinks milk is the answer.

Don’t be afraid of bread.

Especially when it’s sprouted, packed with fibre, minerals, and protein.

This took me about 5 minutes to throw together and it’s loaded with bone-supportive nutrients: Silver Hills Sprouted Power bread
Pumpkin seeds
H**p seeds
Almond butter
A Brazil nut
Organic frozen strawberries

And yes… I buy the frozen organic strawberries from Costco because strawberries are one of the most heavily sprayed fruits when they’re not organic. Mine actually say “pesticide free.”

This meal gives a great mix of protein, calcium, fibre, magnesium, zinc, healthy fats, and plant nutrients that support bone health, muscle health, gut health, and healthy aging.

Quick meals do not have to mean nutrient-poor meals. And it took 5 minutes! Healthier than that bowl of cereal!

Cortisol is one of the most underestimated threats to bone health — and most women with osteoporosis don't hear that at all.

Chronic stress raises cortisol, which disrupts the gut microbiome, slows transit time, and tanks your ability to absorb the nutrients your bones actually need. It also pulls calcium directly from bone to buffer the physiological stress response.

So this is my new morning non-negotiable. Fifteen minutes on my PEMF mat, half-caf in hand, Shiloh keeping me company — before the day gets loud.

I am a big believer in small habits.

If you're doing everything "right" and still not seeing results, stress control might be the missing piece nobody talked to you about.

And PS it's also great for Shiloh!

This one stopped a lot of women in my community in their tracks — so I want to make sure you know it too.

Chronic low-grade inflammation — the kind you might not even feel as "pain" — activates osteoclasts. Those are the cells responsible for breaking bone down.

In a healthy body, osteoclasts and osteoblasts (the cells that build bone) work in balance. Bone is constantly remodelling — old bone is removed, new bone is laid down.

But when inflammation is chronically elevated, that balance tips. More breakdown. Less building.

And what drives chronic inflammation? A processed diet. Poor sleep. Chronic stress. A disrupted gut microbiome. Excess sugar. A sedentary lifestyle. Certain medications.

These are not exotic causes. They're the background noise of modern life — and they have a direct impact on your bones.

This isn't about being perfect. It's about understanding that your lifestyle isn't separate from your bone health. It IS your bone health.

The good news: every single one of these factors is something you have influence over.

That's not a small thing. That's everything.

Everything going in the soil was chosen for a reason. Let me tell you what I picked and why:

- Romaine: most people think of this as just a salad green but it's actually a really good source of vitamin K. Vitamin K is the traffic director for calcium.

- Bok Choy: this one is a bone health powerhouse and almost nobody talks about it. It has calcium, magnesium, and vitamin K all in one plant.

- Radishes: these are going in because of their vitamin C content and vitamin C does something really specific for bone.

- Arugula: another leafy green with vitamin K and calcium.

- Cilantro: this one's in here because of its anti-inflammatory properties.

Five plants all chosen with intention & all do something specific. Bone health doesn't have to feel like a medical protocol. Sometimes it looks like this.

Tell me in the comments if you want to know more about what I planted and why or drop GUIDE and I will send you the free guide to get you started on your bone health journey.
