Relaxation isn’t just a luxury, it’s a must for your health.

Chugging coffee and powering through might get you by for a while, but it’s not a long-term stress strategy. Chronic stress fuels inflammation, hormone imbalances, and fatigue. Your body needs real rest to reset.

Although most of us would love a long vacation with daily massages on the beach, that’s not always practical. The good news is there are little things you can do every day to bring a sense of calm and promote relaxation in your life.

This National Relaxation Day, try swapping the hustle for some actual downtime:

– Take a mindful walk in nature (or the city)
– Practice deep breathing or meditation
– Enjoy a tech-free evening
– Listen to calming music or sounds
– Soak in a warm bath

August is Psoriasis Awareness Month, and it’s time to look deeper than the surface!

Psoriasis isn’t just a skin issue; it’s an immune-related condition that often needs more than topical creams or quick fixes.

🌞 How to Support Your Health in the Summer Heat🌞

1. Hydrate Like a Pro
• Aim for 2-3L of water a day. Add electrolytes (like coconut water, sea salt, or electrolyte tablets) if sweating a lot.

2. Eat Water-Rich Foods
• Include watermelon, cucumber, berries, oranges, and leafy greens in your meals.

3. Dress & Cool Smart
• Light, breathable fabrics (like linen), cooling face mists, and avoiding peak sun hours (11am–3pm) can keep your body temp regulated.

4. Support Your Adrenals
• Heat is a stressor. Take breaks in the shade, avoid overexertion, and consider B vitamins or adaptogens if needed (check with your ND first!).

5. Listen to Your Body
• Dizziness, headache, or muscle cramps? These may be signs of heat exhaustion. Get into shade, hydrate, and rest.

Exciting news! I’ll be heading out on maternity leave starting June, and plan to return for in-person visits in early to mid-fall 👶✨

In the meantime, I’ll still be here, just virtually! For May, I’ll continue to see current patients via virtual appointments 💻

For my IV therapy patients, not to worry! Dr. Ramberan will be stepping in to support you while I’m away 💧

And while I’ll be off for a few months, I’m not completely gone, if you need to chat or book time with me, just reach out to the front desk and we’ll try our best to accommodate.
