Support You Can Truly Feel 🔊💙

Navigating hearing care isn’t always easy, but having a compassionate team makes all the difference. Brittany Gustafson shares their full experience with Union Hearing Aid Centre:

"We have had such an incredible experience with Union Hearing Aid Centre. As a mom of a deaf child with cochlear implants, navigating hearing care and the costs that come with it can be overwhelming at times.
The team at Union Hearing has been nothing short of amazing. They are compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly care about the families they support. They have helped us with the cost of essential equipment for my son, which has made a real and meaningful difference in his life and ours.

Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond does not go unnoticed. It’s rare to find a place that combines expertise with such genuine care for their clients.

I am beyond grateful for everything they’ve done for our family and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of hearing support."

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It does not go unnoticed, and we are thankful for the opportunity to support patients like Leo.

At this year’s AHIP Symposium, we were proud to sponsor a presentation by a longtime friend of UHAC, Dr. Steve Aiken.

Dr. Aiken’s important research continues to highlight the connection between hearing loss and dementia, helping raise awareness about why hearing health matters at every stage of life. Conversations like these are essential in advancing education, early intervention, and a better quality of life for older adults.

We’re grateful to support meaningful research and the ongoing work being done to improve hearing healthcare in our communities.

This May marks a significant milestone for Union Hearing Aid Centre. Since 1922, our business has grown alongside the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community and honoured that this connection is part of our identity. While I have been an owner at Union Hearing for 31 years, my role has never been to change this identity. My focus has always been on preserving what matters most so future generations can continue hearing the world around them. Surviving for over a century has required a commitment to staying up to date in the latest technologies and being dedicated to our patients by evolving with their needs.

Today, our strength is driven by our 'Collective Engine’ of 19 dedicated professionals who are working together to ensure our legacy of care continues to move forward with purpose.

Big News

To honour our history and meet the growing needs of the individuals and families we serve, we are officially EXPANDING our offices at 123 Edward Street this September!

This growth is a testament to our commitment to our patients and our future as industry leaders.

Thank you to my incredible team and our loyal community for trusting me to lead this company into its second century.

The best is yet to come!

Warmly,

Chris Kyroglou

Adjusting to hearing aids is a gradual process where children learn to understand and feel comfortable with new sounds.

✔️ Everyday noises may seem louder or unfamiliar in the beginning
✔️ Children often wear hearing aids for short periods, then increase over time
✔️ Parents, teachers, and audiologists help with comfort and confidence
✔️ Some kids may feel shy or frustrated at first
✔️ Daily use helps sounds feel more natural
✔️ Over time, speech and listening skills get stronger
