Please join our Medical Director of Urology, Dr. Luke Fazio at Pri-Med Canada’s Conference. TCBH Surgical Centre is proud to announce that Dr. Fazio will be one of the speakers on May 12th, Day 3 of Pri-Med Canada’s Conference to discuss and provide an update on the current recommendations for prostate cancer screening and prostate cancer care.

About the speaker:
Dr. Fazio completed medical school at McGill University. He did his residency in urology at Western University and completed a fellowship in endourology and minimally invasive surgery through the University of Toronto at St. Michael’s Hospital. He was an associate staff at Queen’s University prior to joining the Division of Urology at Humber River Hospital. His practice focuses on endourology as well as minimally-invasive and robotic surgery. He is the current Division Head for urology at Humber River and co-chair of the robotic surgery program. He also serves as Medical Director of urology for TCBH Surgical Centre.

Craving something sweet? Try this healthy blueberries muffin recipe!

1 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup non-fat milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
2 large eggs at room temperature
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup blueberries (fresh)

DIRECTION:
In a mixing bowl, stir together white whole flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, butter, eggs and vanilla.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, then carefully stir until blended
Gently toss the blueberries with 1 tablespoon flour, then fold them into batter.
Divide the batter among the muffin cups.
Bake on 400(preheated oven) for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown.
