With a heavy heart, I share the news of the passing of my beloved son, Desmond, who died in India after a courageous battle with blood cancer. Despite our best efforts and the generosity of so many, we are now faced with the daunting task of bringing him back home to Cameroon to be laid to rest beside his parents and family, as was his wish.

We are seeking your support to help cover the remaining hospital bills and the costs of repatriating his body. Desmond’s Healing Journey

Desmond’s journey toward healing began when he was diagnosed with acute leukemia a fast-progressing form of blood cancer on July 10th in Cameroon, at just 17 years old. Given the aggressive nature of the disease, doctors urgently recommended that he be evacuated abroad to increase his chances of survival.

His medical report was sent to specialists in India, who quickly analyzed his condition and advised immediate transfer for treatment. Desmond was soon flown to India, where his fight for life truly began.

Upon arrival, Desmond underwent numerous tests and evaluations. His doctors developed a treatment plan that includes induction chemotherapy, requiring 28 days in a confined Intensive Care Unit with no access to the outside world. He will also need a bone marrow transplant a complex and costly procedure essential to his recovery.

Desmond’s story is one of courage and resilience. Having lost his father at a young age, he was raised by a single mother and extended family. Despite the hardships, he has always held tightly to his dreams. And now, thanks to your generosity, he is one step closer to a healthier future.

But we’re not there yet. Desmond’s life still depends on all of us. We urgently need your continued support to help him through this next phase. Please keep sharing his story on your platforms, with your friends, and in your communities so we can reach more compassionate souls willing to help through donations.
