Hi everyone, I’ve been a Psychologist and School Parent Advocate for over twenty-five years. Over these years I have been very concerned about the educational welfare of the 17% or so of children with special needs in school during the period of the Pandemic. This has been a period of chaos and poor organization without any meaningful knowledge of the effects on the learning and general education of this disadvantaged minority of school children.

With this being said, I would love to offer a Free Online Training Workshop to teach parents and other caregivers how to effectively advocate for children with special needs in the school system.

If you’re interested please reach out directly to me on Facebook Messages or send me an email at norm.forman@gmail.com with your name, email, what dates/times work best with you and basic information about what concerns you have.

I’m very excited about the opportunity to virtually meet everyone and help. 😊

This is a growing problem with so many of my clients.

A lot of parents of children with special needs are unaware that they have the right to have someone who is knowledgable and who knows their way around the system to help them and to come with them to meetings to review their child's issues and needs. By having an advocacy board in the school, it will help parents more seamlessly deal with their concerns.

For example, there is a lot of anxiety, stress, worries, feelings of isolation, being alone and confusion. They look tired, exhausted and frustrated. All of them are overworked. Do you see yourself here? If so let’s get to work to change things.

What is the goal of ?

PAS informs parents who have issues with schools about how they can use community groups and organizations such as Special Education Advisory Committees, The Children’s Aid Society and more to help them in direct and meaningful ways, on behalf of their children with special needs so it increases their sense of empowerment and reduces their feelings of isolation and frustration.
