Let’s break it down.

The gist is, and I think this is especially important for the main lift (exercise). Work up to a weight (intensity) that challenges you and that’s when your FIRST SET starts.

If you’re not pushing yourself to a high enough intensity where you can maintain good form and technique, you’re probably leaving strength gains on the table.
